We were in town for a wedding so the hotel was suggested by the couple. Fairmont Miramar is impeccably managed and fully attuned to guests needs. The staff is universally friendly and welcoming. The lobby is lovely as are the grounds. The gym facility was also excellent. The rooms are very clean and have all needed amenities, from coffee to an iron. Where the hotel fell short, especially given the price point, is the size of the room (tiny and cramped for a family of 3), the dated and scuffed built in furniture, and the beds, which were hard and sagging. Parking is exorbitantly priced so we chose to park in a neighborhood garage (also pricey, but not as bad).

This was a disappointment. The rooms plumbing was in bad shape. The toilet barely flushed and the shower temperature never got hot and at Luke warm still dropped to cold during the shower. The tv wouldn’t connect to the Netflix app as it was supposed to and the movies station for purchase also wasn’t functioning. The hotel is old and that’s fine, but basic things like water temp and TV should be at expectation.

Well located, comfortable bed, plenty of clothes storage and good breakfasts (charged). Dining options limited, nothing available after 10.00 pm when we arrived, not even a sandwich or room service. No snacks or drinks in room, fridge empty. Plentiful free drinking water.

Beautiful grounds and landscaping. Dated rooms, no tea options only coffee. Single pane windows do not open easily, or keep street noise out. Fingerprints on mirrors, elevators. Women’s changing room. Cold showers, water did not warm up for 5-10 minutes. Steam room never heated up, empty hand soap, lotion dispensers. Nice guest restroom next to coffee stand inside the hotel. Some food items at Fig restaurant were excellent wedge salad, French onion soup, pizza. Neighborhood 3rd street promenade falling apart, boarded up/ closed businesses, sad to see.

recently stayed at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, for three nights with my family. We had two adjoining rooms—one King suite and one with double beds. The location was excellent, central to everything in Santa Monica, allowing us to explore Los Angeles easily. We took a tour, visited the Griffith Observatory, enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Gucci Osteria on Rodeo Drive, got some shopping done, and explored 3rd Street Promenade, as well as the Santa Monica Pier. We also had a wonderful time lounging by the pool, listening to cool vibes, and taking extended naps. The poolside service was excellent, and the adjacent hot tub was a lovely touch as well.

Hotel is really nice and has an excellent location and great service. Rooms/bathrooms are small and in need of some repairs. Also we had one robe (2 people) and there are no slippers (unusual in a luxury hotel).

The room was great. It was quiet, clean and comfortable and we had a view of the pool and beach from our balcony. The pool got afternoon sun and was protected from the ocean wind. It was in the 50s-low 70s everyday but at the pool it felt more like 80. Plenty of food options at the hotel and in the immediate area. Would definitely return!
