I’ve stayed in Hilton head plenty of times but I gotta tell ya, the Westin in my top choice of places. Great pools, kid friendly, adult friendly, dog friendly, great beach area, great restaurants and the coffee is always there. 10/10.

Check in process was fragmented. Arrived at 3:30 and we understood check in wasn’t untill 4pm but we proceeded to wait till past 5 pm. Had to wait on a long line multiple times after the front desk said they would call when the room was ready (never got a phone call). In addition, when we received our parking pass they never indicated it was $20 a day to park our car. Overall the service was mid, we don’t plan on coming back. We drove over 600 miles from NJ to visit this resort, not very pleased.

Room was dirty with food crumbs on the floor and hair in the bathtub. No other room available unless we downgraded. Could hear everything through the walls. Other guests smoking on the balcony prevented us from leaving doors open during our stay. Watched a woman squat and pull bathing suit down to urinate on a side walkway from the beach. Will not stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The facilities, however, were not in very good shape. We had to switch rooms when we arrived as the first room was dirty, and it looked like the telephone connection had started on fire. Staff was wonderful and moved us right away. There is only one elevator servicing each tower and it’s at the far end so you have to walk several hundred feet every time to get to it. I can only imagine how long one must wait to use the elevator when the hotel is busy. Definitely would not recommend it for older people. We used to love staying at the Westin, but unfortunately it looks like they are just not re-investing and maintaining the quality of what they once were. All that being said, the staff were great, so this would seem to be more a corporate reinvestment problem through the whole chain and not anything the locals are able to change

No service no spa time. It is an additional charge to use the spa steam room, sauna or whirlpool, even as a resort guest, that fee is on top of the resort fees. Gen the lady working the spa counter was extremely unpolite when I was able to discuss with mgmt and be allowed to go into a basically vacant space as there were literally only 12 to 15 cars in the parking lot during our stay. She didn’t offer me a robe and tersely reminded me to be mindful and use the clock on the wall for my one hour limit. However Joslynn, Diasi and Yanilla were some of the nicest young ladies that made my birthday visit very special. Problem # 2 If you book on a third-party app, like Expedia, make sure upon check-in, you go to the front counter and verify everything on your receipt to get the amenities for which you have paid. Marriott Westin will tell you none of the items that you pay for on Expedia have transferred over onto the hotel‘s website. And you will have to stand at the front counter to contact Expedia (good luck finding their phone number without googling it) and have Expedia speak with someone at the hotel. And finally, problem # 3 At check out, the bellhop room was locked, therefore we could not get a luggage cart. No one at the front desk has access so we wound up carrying all the bags down by ourselves. I cannot imagine being there during a busy crowded summer season if the service was this bad with so few people to actually service I imagine hotel is god-awful when full.

My wife and I absolutely loved this place! We we stayed here in January it was peaceful, quiet, and very relaxing. Exactly what we were hoping for on a getaway. We will definitely be coming back here. 10/10 RECOMMENDED

Service desk we call over 10 times and no would answer the phone, so after 3 hrs trying to relax , we decided to go to dinner we are room i all the way over the other side of the hotel , so when we left we call at reception , we asked then why would no one answer the phone they said we ate sorry , we came back agfter dinner still no TV what the hell is wrong with this place and staff theres hardly any one here at the resort , but they way its run is not the same either i ve been coming here on and of for 20 years now im going to change my hotel next time will not stay at the weston again , now
