My room was freezing cold. Unfortunately the radiator from 1920 didn’t work. The engineer made 4 trips with different tools at 11:00 at night but still couldn’t get it to work. I slept in my clothes. The shower was lovely but seriously flooded the bathroom with 3 inches of water. My chicken dinner at the Asian restaurant was undercooked which is a recipe for serious illness and rice was $15 extra. Not great value for your money. .the security was oppressive until I understood why and then it was much appreciated. The comped my drink but still

My bed mattress was so soft that I woke up next day with a very serious back pain. Not good when a week of golf is following your stay at this prestigious hotel. I ask them to correct it , and they did changed the mattress promptly. Nevertheless , such a high rated hotel ( and high cost one) should not accept from their staff a badly used mattress to the point where it is ruined down. Another détail: you flush the toilet, yet it does not eliminate the paper still floating after 2-3 flushes. Hum…..

The hotel is very beautiful with absolutely stunning gardens – the grounds really make a big impression and create a wonderful atmosphere. The food is very good and the staff is polite and friendly. However, you need to be very careful with room location. Rooms not facing the garden are very noisy, which can significantly affect the stay. Communication by email is also quite poor – we never received replies to some of our emails, including one regarding flowers that were delivered to the hotel and were unfortunately of very poor quality. Overall, we have mixed feelings. On one hand, it is a wonderful and impressive hotel, especially because of the gardens. On the other hand, small issues like noise and lack of email communication negatively affect the overall experience. We would still recommend the hotel, but strongly advise choosing a garden-facing room and confirming important requests in advance.

Our stay at La Mamounia was overall a beautiful experience. The property is stunning, the gardens magical, and the service throughout the hotel warm and attentive. I was also pleasantly surprised with a thoughtful birthday gesture of cake and champagne, which was greatly appreciated. Upon arrival we were initially taken to a room without a balcony, although that was not the category we had booked. However, we were allowed an early check-in, allowed to use that room to shower and within an hour the team moved us to the correct room with a balcony, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, our dinner at Le Marocain on my birthday was not as pleasant. I had specifically requested a table in a smoking area, but we were first offered a table indoors and told I would need to step outside if I wanted to smoke. We were then seated in what appeared to be a small private alcove, only for another couple to be placed immediately beside us, leaving virtually no privacy as we could hear every detail of each other’s conversation. The food was also somewhat underwhelming, and the experience felt rushed. Despite this, La Mamounia remains an iconic and breathtaking place, and overall our stay was memorable ✨

Honestly, this was "Average" (3-Star), but it got upgraded a star because of 1-2 service/concierge agents. They did really go above and beyond to help transport luggage left behind from Marrakech to Casablanca, and one who served as a translator when my wife was sick and had the doctor visit us in the room. Otherwise, I find the place to be too conceited about what they think their persona actually is. Four Season, Mandarin, Aman and of course the Royal Mansour - all better options.

La Mamounia is undoubtedly an iconic and historic hotel, showcasing the finest Moroccan craftsmanship and architecture. The atmosphere and decor reflect true luxury and tradition. However, there are several points that, in my opinion, are below the standards expected from a 5-star establishment. The rooms are surprisingly small compared with most other luxury hotels in Marrakech. They also lack basic amenities, such as an iron, and the minibar selection is quite limited for a hotel of this category. Additionally, the hotel allows smoking in all its restaurants, with no designated non-smoking areas. This is very uncomfortable for non-smokers and contrasts with the non-smoking policies common in most top international hotels and in Europe. Lastly, breakfast is served outdoors near the pool, even in chilly weather. Many guests were wearing jackets or using the sheets provided by staff to stay warm. It would be much more pleasant if guests had the option to dine in a comfortable indoor area during colder mornings. Overall, while La Mamounia remains a beautiful and historic property, attention to these details would make the guest experience truly match the 5-star reputation it carries

Room and service were both nice. The main drawback was that for a room that costed 1,200 per night, breakfast was not even included.

Excellent safe hotel with high standards. Only thing to mention were a couple of the reception staff at the Spa and at the Asian restaurant who were a bit unprofessional but the rest amazing. I would also like to praise the reception staff and the amazing concierge team who did everything for our stay to be perfect

The rooms are dark and small. It is hard to book a spa or dinner reservation. Food is ok. The hotel itself is huge and a great location. I just wish it were more accommodating and the service were better.
