Hotel reception is very nice. Rooms are very basic and bathrooms need updating. They were covered in limescale. We didn’t receive Bath robes which we requested. Restaurant and bar overpriced.

Good menu options and great there are also order options

Swimming pool and changing facilities weren’t clean, leaking ceiling. Had no female staff to clean it. Requested tea bags for the room. Didn’t arrive. When we asked at reception why they hadn’t been delivered was told they didn’t have any. They did we’d seen some. Poor staff and not kept to the usual standard we’d expect.

One night stay. Used the gym and pool. Connie very helpful in the gym. Restaurant closed when I wanted to eat but could eat from the same menu in the bar. Quick and efficient service. Special to be offered a glass of wine on arrival

The pool + hot tub were perfect. The room was clean, comfortable with everything we needed catered for + the meal last night + breakfast this morning were delicious, with plenty of choice.

Easy checkin and free cookies. Parking isn’t free unless you are an IHG member, so make sure to join before arriving. Room was fine. Comfy beds and pillows. Shower good if not hugely hot. I think the hotel is used by a lot of business people as it gets noisy from 6AM onwards as people slam doors. So don't expect a quiet lie in. Breakfast is actually very good, although if you arrive before 8:30AM you may struggle to get a table.

The staff are very helpful. There are enough parking for everyone. But the floors in the room and the bathroom are very old.

Property needs improvement Especially swimming pool

Hotel is in a great location and I have stayed here before, but on this occasion the condition and cleanliness was poor, dust on the the room numbers, thick cobwebs on signs in the corridor, the timescale build up in the baths makes it look like they are only cleaning the main bits regularly. Marks on the bedsheets (clean but marked) For the price I would expect better

Room was nice and bed was comfy. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was very good with lots to choose from. Teas and coffee included. Only downside we had to pay £10 for parking which we didn’t expect.

Reception and bar area was nice. Our room was quite ratty esp the bathroom. The shower rail round the bath was starting to fall off meaning the bathroom floor got soaked as the curtain would close properly. The room could of done with a re paint
