This was a very disappointing experience, primarily due to how poorly the front desk handled a basic check-in situation.
I was incorrectly told that I must have received a physical tourist form when entering Chile and that I would face issues leaving the country without it. They needed that form so I wouldn’t have to pay the 19% tax but I didn’t have one since some airports are now handling it digitally. This is outdated and inaccurate information. Instead of verifying or acknowledging that procedures have evolved, the staff doubled down and treated the situation as if I was being dishonest. The tone was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional, creating an unnecessary scene in the lobby. One of the employees even asked if I enter the country legally😂
A manager later stepped in and handled things more appropriately, but the damage had already been done. First impressions matter, and this was a bad one.
The premium room itself also falls far below what is advertised as “premium.” The furniture feels cheap, the bathroom is outdated, and the overall condition is not what you would expect from a 5-star property — it’s much closer to a 3-star experience.
To make matters worse, the workspace is not functional. The desk is too low for the chair provided, making it uncomfortable — and realistically unusable — for anyone trying to work from the room.
Between untrained front desk staff, poor handling of guests, and underwhelming room quality, this hotel does not deliver on its positioning. I would not consider staying in this hotel again.
