This hotel is very old and dirty.

Rooms were great. Lots of room and comfortable beds. Staff welcomed us each time we went in and out! The pool was under maintenance and we wanted to use that, so it was a bummer for us. Breakfast was good. We had unwelcome “friends” in our room and reported it and nothing was done. Pay for parking, but there are people living in vans and campers inside and outside the parking lot. Fire alarm went off 3 times, one at 6:30AM!

It just seemed that the location was in a bad portion of town & there was a person complaining about a robbery in their room when we arrived. Just not a great feeling about the place.

Stay was good. Breakfast was stranded fare but filling.

Good home away from home for 3 weeks. Couple hiccups with the disposal and dishwasher but the staff was all over it!

I will start positively by saying this property is a solid choice for families or large groups, as it is apartment style and really gives a home away from home vibe with the cozy yet modern and updated furnishings. This is my first time booking a Sonesta hotel as I usually opt for H__or M__but I was compelled to try this place because of its all around high marks with the reviews for this location and the surrounding Sonestas nearby. Our oldest son was attending orientation at SJSU for a few days so we figured we'd let our younger 2 kids have long swim days at the pool. Much to our dismay, when we arrived, the pool was abysmal and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in over a month with dirt and debris floating. It was "under maintenance" and a huge disappointment, as we would have to find other activities for them to do that cost money even though we are gearing up to pay thousands in tuition and trying to be cost effective. While I understand things come up, it was clear the pool had BEEN out of commission bc of how filthy it was and it wasn't advertised on their website nor Expedia that it was down. The front desk was gracious enough to waive 2 cars' parking for 2 days as a courtesy for the inconvenience ($10/day per car) which was appreciated but I wish I'd had a heads up bc I'd have booked elsewhere. Please be aware that this hotel is in a corner of a commercial area and shares a large parking lot with 24 hr fitness and there are constant lurkers and homeless. Overall OK

One night only ; kids running up and down the stairs . At night ; Random door knock at my door during the night. Alarm was on , more than 30mins

The property is very well kept up and the manager Mark was very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed

Horrible. It was 80 in the room when we entered and the stove, tv, and counter were broken.

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks and, although the front‑desk staff were consistently polite. But unfortunately my stay was marred by serious housekeeping and maintenance problems: the first room I was given was clearly uncleaned, and after I was moved to the second one, a homeless man tried to climb in through my window on the very first night. I moved to third suite; both the second and third suites had leaking dishwashers, the third flood was worse and the appliance was never repaired despite my immediate report. Housekeeping serviced the room only once in thirteen nights. Also breakfast was exactly the same every single morning.

Beds were full size so not enough space to have my husband and myself sleep in one bed, bathrooms were so small had to keep the door open to handle business kept hitting the glass shower door from toilet
