Great views, hotel was beautiful and relaxing

Stayed for 3 nights, full sea view. Dated rooms, average service, great beach view, close to downtown. Toilet leaked during my whole stay even after I called them 3 times and someone “came and fixed it”. Staff is doing the bare minimum and I believe they need improvement on several fronts. I don’t recommend staying there unless you have to. I was negatively surprised.

The hotel itself is nice overall, but there are several areas that need improvement. Food & Dining: • The food quality is average. • Breakfast buffet was decent — definitely worth including with your room. • Pool and lagoon food was very disappointing. Avoid ordering meals there. • We skipped dinner at the hotel entirely and opted to eat out instead. I suggest you get the breakfast package, but plan your lunch and dinner elsewhere. Service & Front Desk: The front desk staff could use better training in customer service. We had issues with: • Applying the 20% Expedia discount on one meal. • Coordinating the locations of our 3 booked rooms. • It took two different managers — one at check-in and one at check-out — to finally resolve things. Pool & Beach: • The pool is nice and the walk up bar was decent. Entertainment could use help, the dancers come out a couple of times and do basic dances then leave, no games like bingo or trivia or fun activities that I saw in the 5 days there. The beach is small, with very shallow, rocks at the start. But the water is clear. You’ll need to walk out several feet before the water reaches your waist. Bring water shoes — they’re necessary to comfortably walk into the water. The shallow beach water in July felt more like a hot tub due to the heat. Evening swims with a float were especially enjoyable. The lagoon was deeper, but feels like walking in mud and green water swimming in it. I did not like it.

Terrible experience. From the check in to the room. Towels were dirty, slippers used. Rooms are run down. Service level is below what you would expect from Movenpick. This was far from the 8.4 star on expedia. We booked a room that should have been fitting 4 people total, it was 2 single beds- and when we told them they came and added bedding to the couch (not a couch bed) . First night was beyond uncomfortable, we had to pay extra for an upgrade which we didnt want but their standard rooms dont fit more than 2 people. Which was not indicated at all on the website (expedia) when booking for 4 obviously. We called expedia, and sadly the agent told us they would call back and never did. Shame on you expedia and this hotel should not be advertised as it is currently on your site. Very disappointing experience. We did book 6 other hotels within our stay this vacation with expedia, which were all phenomenal- but this one was terrible and unacceptable to not come back to a customer in a foreign country and let them hang with no help.

The service was quite disappointing, with unwelcoming staff and rooms that were both dirty and outdated. The water provided wasn't sealed but refilled manually, and there was only one towel available that had an unpleasant odor. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The facility is beautiful, however, the service leaves much to be desired. Expect to get hassled constantly at the pool by workers trying to sell you services. The biggest problem is they don't go away even when you tell them no. You will be incapable of just relaxing given the constant sales pitches. The food was also sub-par, by far the worst at any resort I've had in Egypt. Having travelled all over Eygpt, I can easily say this resort was the worst experience in terms of food and service between all resorts.
