El hotel es muy lindo y tiene lo necesario para pasar una buena estancia sin llegar a ser muy lujoso. La ubicacion es muy buena y permite llegar a restaurantes y tiendas caminando.

I love this historic hotel that was I think originally a monastery. The rooms surround a garden It’s in a great location , Hidalgo park and there’s a Starbucks next door. There’s a small pool on the top level that overlooks a cathedral! They serve a lovely breakfast in the mornings to get your day of cenote swimming or visiting of Great Mayan Ruins.For the cost you can’t go wrong. Don’t forget to go to Amaro for wonderful live music and diner. Right around the corner! Let’s pot it this way,

Liked this hotel, it had an elevator yeah! And is close to all the museums, parks, restaurants, and so many shops. The only drawback is that we had to park the car 2 blocks away in a designated parking lot for hotel.

Thew room I had was a simple one on the 2nd floor, basic but well kept and this hotel is all about the location and the lovely courtyard. The pool although small affords a refreshing dip on a warm day and some beautiful sunset skies late in the afternoon. This is a very sweet stay and walking distance to so many great restaurants and boutiques.

We received a warm welcome upon arrival. Our room was very clean, and the air conditioning was amazing at keeping the room comfortable, especially since the daytime temperatures were between +36 to +38. The rooftop pool is perfect for a dip to cool off. When we booked our stay, we added the breakfast option. Every part of the breakfast was fantastic, fresh hot coffee, the large fresh fruit bowls, our made to order hot breakfast was delicious and a very generous portion. Above all, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. If we travel back to the area, we will definitely stay here again.

At 1 am the hotel brought in a noisy septic cleaner. Unbelievable. The guests could not understand it. Why?

Great location. Comfortable, quiet room — couldn’t have been better.

If downtown is where you want to explore, you cannot beat this location. Just one block from the main cathedral and park where there is always something going on. Restaurants and all kinds of points of interest within walking distance. And buses that go everywhere, within walking distance as well. The staff here is wonderful and can't do enough to help. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms are not modern, white bathrobe type of accommodation, but they are clean, and for somewhere I only went to sleep, perfectly functional. in the morning one can go up to the third level where the pool is and watch the sun rise over the back of the gorgeous cathedral. Wonderful.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Caribe in Merida, Mexico. Location is very convenient to the cathedral, the central square, and all the downtown areas.The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the breakfasts and swimming in the rooftop pool. The property is an old catholic high school converted into a hotel years ago. The courtyard is very pretty with two Mamey fruit trees and a fountain. The rooms could use some freshening (paint) and cleaning especially the tile headboard area behind the beds.

Superb Stay! We have been to Merida many times and have stayed at several different places...Hotel Caribe is in a great location, close to everything, and super comfortable! The rooftop pool is amazing and the perfect place to swim, siesta and relax in between exploring all that Merida has to offer! We loved the central jardin area of the hotel, since most of the rooms are built around this area. Waking up to the sounds of all the birds living in these trees is wonderful. The staff is great, very professional, friendly and helpful. The place is immaculate, very comfortable and does have a restaurant onsite for breakfast. It also has an elevator if needed, although there are only two upper floors.

What stood out for me is that this was the fastest check-in I have ever done in my life, and I have travelled to quite a few places

I have been requesting a refund from you for our unused third night at this hotel due to the bites I received while sleeping and the strong evidence of bedbugs in both beds in both of our 2 rooms. This was entirely unacceptable and I deserve a refund. Who would stay in such a hotel for another night?

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Caribe and found it to be a very convenient location in Merida. We were only a short walk from Plaza Grande, with excellent access to the transit system, nearby museums, bakeries and restaurants, and markets. The hotel is well maintained, clean, and comfortable despite it being fairly old. We appreciated the free refill water jugs on each floor, the main level garden, the pool on the upper floor, and the rest spaces along the corridors (chairs and tables). Our room was clean and spacious, with a small but functional bathroom, good AC unit, and good wifi. We did unfortunately get a cockroach in our room, though it was dying (likely from pesticide) by the time we saw it. Our in-room safe worked well, and the mini-fridge was very useful. The front staff wasn't particularly friendly, but they were polite. We were able to get some beach towels for free as long as we returned them, which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely choose to stay at Hotel Caribe again considering the excellent location in central Merida, quiet and safe location, and reasonable amenities.

Room 51 is a room we love staying in you have always been very accommodating, thank you so much and it has always been clean and pleasant staying there. Your office people are very nice especially the lady who is from Belize and works the front desk and our wonderful room attendant who kept our room so comfortable and clean, her name is Marie and Anna. Excelente hubicacion, habitaciones limpias .

The room was lovely, and the courtyard was quiet and peaceful. The staff was kind and accommodating, and the restaurant was very nice. A magical, calm oasis in the heart of busy downtown Merida.

Surpassed my expectations. I felt like I got a lot for my money. Great location, quiet but right in the heart of the Centro Historico. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel & nice room. GREAT location! The views from the rooftop pool were stunning.
