Very disappointed- not the normal Hyatt standards. Arrival and check in was not welcoming. Club Lounge not up to normal standard of others. 6-8pm was the only time there was some service. Often no tea/ coffee/milk available. Snacks scarce out of the ‘cocktail hour’. When we arrived we were told we should come back at 6, it was 5.45pm. We only wanted some water! The guy on the last night of our stay ( Friday) helping in the club lounge was superb- and thoughtful but he stood out. The poor area was sad, sparsely furnish. Often needed to ask for towels, rubbish and dead plants in flower beds.The pool on Friday was cloudy and had paper napkins and other debris in it.Dirty towels left around but staff not busy and often sat at the bar on phones. I could go on. It will put me off booking a Hyatt. For the same price, we definitely should have stayer somewhere else in wonderful Merida. I felt so let down. I did raise my concerns via the Hyatt app ( they said they would tell the hotel but nothing they could do), I also DM’d via Instagram and found a card and some chocolates in my room but honestly they were also really unpleasant- curry powder flavoured ‘truffle’?!?! It did not make us feel any better.

I stated at Hyatt Regency for four nights recently. It is a fabulous hotel- and although not centrally located- its approx 20 minute walk to the center; it is easy to access with uber and bus transportation. The Regency staff will greet you with a smile; they remember you and accommodate guests at every opportunity. I received an upgrade without asking. The rooms are spacious with wide views to see sparkling meridian lights the higher u are. The breakfast buffet is scrumptious with a blend of Yucatan and traditional foods. Yummy! The location is close to many restaurants, and a wide selection of international tastes. I look forward to a return!

Rooms look tired and dull. AC in club room was incredibly noisy. I had to turn it off to video call. Service in the club room was lacking. Service in Italian restaurant extremely slow. Service in rest of the hotel was amazing, especially breakfast restaurant.

Excellent drinks at lobby bar. Spasso for dinner was awesome. Great pastas.

The hotel and personel were outstanding. The problem was the unrully kids that invaded our floor until after midnight screaming and running through the halls after numerous calls over a two day period they tried to contain the kids. Not much was done we'll check next time before we book.

The room was so dirty. I took many pictures and showed it to the front desk person. They were nice and gave me another room but this stay left me with a bitter taste... I also try to make reservations at the famous restaurant Le petit chef and they could not accomodate me...

This hotel was a great location near the main pedestrian street...but some distance 915-20 minutes to center by foot. It's a lovely, clean modern hotel, with a rooftop pool and bar. They could use a bit more shade around the pool area, though. Would be good to add some umbrellas there. Merida is really hot!! it was 101 degrees F every day we were there.

This hotel is in an ideal lo ation, the staff is superb and I had a great stay in Merida. I will definitely return.

Staff was great and lounge staff was also great

It was about a 20 minute walk to the Cathedral, and many shops and restaurants. Shopping centers in front and back of hotel. I drove from Cancun and getting to the hotel was a little tricky. The colonial buildings and houses were amazing in downtown centro Merida overall it was wonderful, also drove to Progresso which was only about 45 minutes away, wonderful beach and food.
