The hotel was convenient to the downtown area. It felt a little dated and I felt that the bathroom especially could have been cleaner.

Easy check in. The room was nice and clean. The only complaint was the breakfast wasn’t the best. The eggs and sausages were very dry besides that everything else was wonderful

The place was nice and very quiet being in private area. The room is spacious and amenities are good. My only complain is that after going around Maine all day long, we came back in the afternoon and our room was still not cleaned , trash is still in our room. When we asked housekeeping to change our trash, she did and change our towels but she claimed to her supervisor that she cleaned our room. Otherwise everything was good. I recommend this place to stay

We had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn in Portland, Maine! We booked the family room, which was incredibly spacious, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean — perfect for our family. Breakfast was a highlight of our stay, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from every morning. A special mention goes to the 24/7 coffee bar — such a thoughtful touch! It offers regular and decaf coffee, hot water, assorted teas, and creamers, and was truly appreciated throughout the day. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location is also a big plus — just a short drive from downtown Portland, making it convenient to explore the area. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

I’m so disappointed! I stayed here several times when my son was a young boy for his doctors. We always had the best time. This stay was horrible. Starting with the staff. The man that checked us in was so incredibly rude and disrespectful. Our room smelled like cigarettes and wet dog. We brought it up to an employee and was quickly told oh it’s because of the rain! Check out wasn’t any better. The employees are very rude. Honestly eye rolling at customers?! Please do better! This was the last night of our trip, we stayed in New Hampshire, and Massachusetts and had an amazing time in those states.
