Staff were fine but the rooms were well below standard. The water from the shower head tricked out at a weak snails pace & the shower head wasn’t adjustable at all which made for a long arduous cleanse. Had one of the most awful nights sleep due to the constant noise from outside. The only positive aspect to was that this hotel is right next New Street station & a stones throw away from the Wetherspoons. Would not stay here again.

Hotel is in need of renovation, window frame was broken. Room was very small and not very quiet. One thin pillow provided. Only positive was very well located to Birmingham new street station.

The hotel was very much the worse for wear. Tatty, dirty, and dated. On arrival our booking was incorrect and we then had to wait for our room. While waiting we felt very uneasy as there were several single men, obviously worse for wear and possibly homeless coming and going. When we got our room, it was at the highest, most isolated part of the hotel, leaving us feeling very unsafe. The room itself was awful. Tiny. It was also dated and worse for wear. We immediately checked out and went elsewhere. I have no issue with people who need it, such as the homeless, being given hotel rooms. However in this case the hotel should not be renting to the public. It is unfair and degrading to them and they deserve privacy and comfort as much as the next person.

The property was old and certainly dated. The staff appeared to be just filling in time to get paid. The button on the toilet cistern stuck and when i reported it the reply was tomorrow or tonight i said we would have a toilet for the night so he came and spent at least 15 minutes to fix it. The first room they showed us was extremely poor and we refused it and took another room. The bed was terrible. The photos of the place may not be forged but certainly enhanced. WILL NOT BE BACK

The hotel was clean and comfortable. On a stiflingly hot night, air conditioning would have been lovely. But I managed to open a couple of windows. It was great to be able to make tea and I especially valued having a Bible in the drawer - lovely friendly touch and I opened it at random and found it calming to sit there reading a Psalm!

This hotel’s only redeeming feature is its proximity to Birmingham New Street Station. It’s not been invested in for years. Smells like a care home, is noisy and lumpy pillows. If you can sleep anywhere and don’t care for comfort it’s for you. But if you have any more time to walk I would advise avoiding this place. Feels like a hostel.

The upstairs guest were VERY noisy, it sounded as if they were jumping and falling on the ground at times. The walls and ceilings were paper thin and you could here other guests sneeze and phone alarms going off. It was also very hot in the rooms with no fan or air con, so sleeping here was extremely difficult.
