Overall a good place for a fun and family stay. Quiet, fun, mini play area, sea close by and other things to do. The spa and pool wasn't working when we visited this week so that meant less fun and not able to use the facilities. Other than that's everyone we Interact with were lovely and friendly.

We loved the spar, hot tub, swimming pool and the sauna. Free parking is available for several cars

Having booked sometime in advance we were disappointed in the room. The room had disabled bathroom facilities. If all rooms are designed that way please ignore this review. We were only there for one night so didn't use any of the facilities

Rooms were clean and air conditioning was very welcome in the heatwave. All staff working at reception, bar & restaurant were very efficient iebt and friendly! Beds were very comfortable!!! We enjoyed our stay

Reception staff were very helpful but restaurant staff were slow to serve. There were very few customers and after giving us the menu and us waiting half an hour, I had to find a different member of staff to come and take my order. This said the restaurant staff were courteous and friendly.

I booked here as the location was convenient, and there is electric car charging. At check in there is a screen to enter car reg, which is used for both guest parking and if just using the car chargers. The breakfast was good (self serve hot and cold), my double room was spacious and comfortable, and I also used the bar/restaurant in the evening. It was a relaxing stay and I felt recharged. Thanks to all the staff for looking after their guests.

Lovely stay. Gorgeous air-conditioned hotel in crazy UK temperatures! Comfy beds, clean rooms, really quiet - well insulated so no noise from people in corridors or slamming doors, blissful! Good shower. Great pool that didn't require booking or limited slots. Really nice bar and restaurant with excellent service and tasty food. Thank you for our stay - we'll be back.

As a business traverler it was perfect

Pool area wasn’t clean and stank of urine in the changing room. Breakfast wasn’t fresh, eggs had been under the lamp for ages and bacon was cold.

Tired hotel on the outskirts of Colchester. The least friendly check in I’ve ever had at a hotel, miserable receptionist. The room stank of cigarette smoke and the cleanliness left a bit to be desired!
