Amazing period hotel in a fabulous olde-worlde village. Absolute special treat!

Everything was so perfect during our stay! The staff was so attentive and kind, we received a welcoming drink and even had turned down service every evening before bed. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel was just to beautiful and historic. The spa is also a nice addition, I had a very relaxing spa and steam room and the shower facilities are very nice. I definitely recommend the Swan, I want to come back and visit again!!

The wonderful staff and warm welcome for us and our dogs. We had an amazing stay, delicious food and great service. The room was stunning, extremely comfortable, clean and spacious. Lovely bed and a great nights sleep. Gorgeous little treats and toys for our dogs. It was all very special, thank you so much! We will definitely book again. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

This is a beautiful hotel , with so many original features . It was clean and the staff were amazing . Especially Julia on reception , Pedro and Junior in the Gallery restaurant , which serves Michelin quality dishes . This is our go to place whenever we are visiting Lavenham .

Been before. Food is excellent and lounges warm and cody

We stayed for 2 nights, whilst the room was very nice the bed was poorly made (quilt hanging out of the quilt cover). The bathroom extraction was almost non existent, it got extremely steamy after the shower was run. Also, I reported the fact that there is no shower cubicle, just a shower attachment over the bath with no shower curtain ! With even very careful handling this ultimately leads to getting the bathroom floor very wet. Finally, if you decide to take a bath instead, the toiletry containers are too high to reach without standing up to use them. Poorly thought out. Shame as the hotel and staff are great.

A really wonderful stay at The Swan. Can’t fault a thing. Lovely, friendly staff, beautiful bedroom, great dining and bar, lots of great lounge areas and garden seating, and a super spa too. We will definitely be back - thank you!

Friendly & efficient staff old world charm easy access for my disabled husband attractive building wonderful food right in centre of village which had interesting buildings and shops ...would definitely recommend The Swan and would stay there again.

Great location brilliant staff the best place to stay

The hotel rooms were fine - comfortable and clean. However, we didn’t like the mass of pigeon mess and dead pigeons on the roof areas which were visible from the upstairs corridor windows. I did write to the hotel about this issue before posting a review but had no response so have to conclude that they don’t care!

Everything was good

The Swan Hotel is a unique venue in a historic village which is like stepping back to Tudor times. Our large room had recently been refurbished and was lovely with a large super comfy bed. Personally I’d have preferred a walk in shower to one over the bath. Nice to have a safe in the room but positioning on the wardrobe floor wasn’t very practical.
