I liked the central location, convenient to surgery center. The bathroom floor and around shower area was not clean, hair on the floor. Also, the night trains passed frequently and was noisy. I could not use the ear plugs due to medical/surgical problem with my ear.

Good

I specifically stayed at Steam Plant Hotel because I could walk downtown and to Riverfront Park. It was easy to drive to and had ample parking. The staff was always friendly and helpfull. Bonus! I got breakfast vouchers to Rosies Cafe.

Convenient location

I can’t believe that there aren’t more reviews commenting on how incredibly loud this hotel is! There is the train that goes by all throughout the night and the large population of very loud homeless people hanging around the building. The room itself was not clean…vomit or some other bodily fluid dripping down the wall in the bathroom next to the toilet, hair left in the shower, not to mention the smell…the room had obviously been smoked in and just smelled dirty. I booked on Expedia and selected the pay at property option but I was charged for the room the day before my arrival. When I checked out I got two waters in the lobby and asked the lady at the counter to charge my card on file. I was immediately charged $7 for the 2 $2.50 waters and then two days later was charged $5.46. $7 here and $7 there adds up, not to mention it’s stealing…I didn’t choose to tip her for handing her my key cards and checking out. Today is day 4 after checkout and I still haven’t gotten my security deposit of $75 back. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Cons: The room was not clean. There was hair all over the bathroom, stains on the bedding and the mini fridge was dirty. Pros: Staff was kind and fun to chat with. The free meal voucher at Rosie’s was nice; good breakfast. Close to Riverfront Park and shopping.

Great

We were charged $75 holding fee and then we were told we couldn’t stay because we had cats. It was an uncomfortable and bad experience. I don’t know about the property. Emma was very nice. It would’ve been nice if she had not collected money from me and then said that we couldn’t stay.. I will never book another appointment at the steam plant Grill. Thank you.

Convenient location

It was adequate. Room pics looked better than the real thing. Parking lot is hard to manuever. Did not post the pet fee, amd actually read a review that said they liked that that there was no additional charge for pets, so was disappointed to be charged for that upon arrival.

You can hear the train through out the night, super loud sound, woke up a thousand times, had a poor sleeping.
