I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the super eight. Clean, no weird smells, very friendly staff, diner next door (its closed on Mon/Tues) 5 minutes from campus, food, train station. Iron, Microwave fridge and freezer in room. Only downside some outlets didnt work, and clocks were wrong. It's no frills but would def stay again. When visiting campus for a short trip.

The staff at check in were very friendly and the bed was comfortable. However, the room had an oddly stinky, sweet smell that was a bit overwhelming. According to google - it could be mold or mildew. The bathtub had a ring of gray marks near the drain end. At first I thought it was some of the finish that had worn away and so didn’t say anything or request a new room. Neither did I take a picture but in the morning when we took showers - some of it washed / wiped away. On closer inspection it did appear to be some kind of mold or mildew.

This is a small facility practically on campus of Western Illinois University, and super convenient to downtown Macomb. The staff is efficient and friendly. The room was as advertised; clean and comfortable. Good stay for budget travelers! My only complaint would be that the outside west entrance door (closest to the dumpster) did not latch closed and lock. But there didn’t seem to be a lot of traffic in this area, so I guess it wasn’t a big problem.

The hotel owners obviously take pride in their property, and husband/wife/children were always around to help. Location was great, especially for any guest connected to Western Illinois U. Motel is just north of downtown, so it's easy to get to restaurants/shopping etc. Area is peaceful (in summer at least) and rooms in back look out at grass and trees. Only negatives were hearing other guests clumping around in the room above and the oddly lumpy layer under the room carpet.

Very nice stay here. Came from out of town on business trip. Comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious. Definitely would stay here again

Really great, quiet clean place. Staff was friendly and pleasantly attentative. No street or factory noise, and most guests left relatively early from this safe neighborhood. We will be staying again.

A nice place to stay - clean and comfortable. A/C worked well, good shower.

It is what it is. Room smell was off. Big iron burn stain on the carpet. If my wife was there we would have had to leave the hotel.
