The room, bathroom and the bed were comfortable and clean. I was a bit surprised the there were no 5V usb sockets in the room. The staff were friendly and efficient. The taxi booking service worked perfectly. The fire alarm went off three times on our second day but were cancelled in a few seconds each time.

This is a beautiful hotel, ideally located close to the sea and transport links. Highly recommend this hotel. Have stayed on several occasions over the years and it’s a delight to reside there, staff are both professional and friendly.

Beautiful hotel, very spacious and clean. Excellent location to walk around Dun Laoighaire and good travel network in to Dublin. Free parking, beautiful pool and spa. Rooms were large and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Allocated a very old room with extremely high ceiling of approximately 18 feet yet the room was small as the window looked into a shaft desk staff uncooperative when we asked for an alternative room A very helpful young lady offered us an alternative room after breakfast which was already clean and prepared before 10:00am next morning for which we were very grateful but obviously the check in guy couldn’t be bothered. On the further plus side breakfast was excellent as usual

The rooms are tired, particularly the bathrooms where the tiles have been repainted and the floor tiles covered in lino. The staff, by and large, were brusque and unfriendly. I rarely give poor reviews, but this is entirely honest.

We had a lovely stay at the Royal Marine Hotel. Our room was spacious with three huge bay windows overlooking the sea, an enormous comfortable bed and an excellent shower. It was very clean, although a fresh coat of paint and some attention to the skirting boards would make it even better. The room was generally quiet, apart from some noisy neighbouring guests one evening. The spa was fantastic. The receptionist was incredibly friendly, welcoming and funny, and really made us feel at ease. My massage was a little firmer than expected (she was determined to find every knot! 😂). Unfortunately, I did have a skin reaction afterwards, although I'm still unsure which product caused it. During our stay I suffered an endometriosis flare-up. One receptionist struggled to understand our request for nearby painkillers and came across as quite abrupt. Thankfully, the barista staff ere wonderful. One lady, whose sister also has endometriosis, showed genuine kindness, directed us to a pharmacy and made sure I had water and everything I needed. On arrival, it would have been helpful if the hotel amenities and restaurant availability had been explained, especially as a wedding meant some areas weren't available that weekend. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and in a stunning location. The nearby DART station made travelling into Dublin quick and easy. The highlight of our stay was the afternoon tea. The service was exceptional, the staff were attentive and knowledgeable, a

Clean hotel, brilliant value for money, excellent size rooms, excellent food, and the views are terrific. I absolutely love staying here if I visit Dublin. 3rd visit and this will not be the last. The breakfast here is incredible. The staff go above and beyond. And you get a luxury stay for a budget price.

We only stayed for one night before heading to the airport, and it was perfect for that purpose. The location of the hotel provided everything we needed and more - good eats, good drinks and beautiful views. Our room amusingly looked out onto a tiny turfed, non‑accessible courtyard, and with the curtains open you could see people walking by in the adjacent hallway through the floor‑to‑ceiling windows — quirky, but harmless. We booked the cheapest room at a good rate, so no complaints there. The air conditioning worked well, though the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. If you stay here, you must eat at Casper & Giumbini’s just steps from the hotel — it was perfection. Overall, a convenient and perfectly fine overnight stay.

The staff was fabulous and very helpful. We were upgraded to a suite and they found an easier place for us to park (my husband is disabled). The restaurant for dinner was delicious and the waiter so nice. Great trip, great stay.
