We stay here fairly often and have a great experience every time! Love the staff, and especially Rose!

Property is located near downtown - area has a descent number of transient folks. The hotel was clean, but is in need of updating. The carpets and drapes reeked of smoke and for a non-smoking establishment this is unacceptable.

The hotel was great. Nice clean rooms and friendly staff.

The elevator to the floors was not working the time when we arrived. We requested a room on the first floor but the hotel clerk at the time Steve was not so accommodating. However, we was offered by one of the workers LaToyia a room on the first floor with accommodating amenities and we accepted.

Sketchy facility. Good news first. Bed comfortable w/nice pillows. Ice water in lobby, typical to go breakfast items. Elevator broken, ice machine on 3rd floor broken, heat pumping in stairwells in mid summer, w/trash on the stairs, carpets dirty, linen stained, bathroom shelves covered in dust, not sound proof w/moaning/ seeping thru doors.

There was nothing we didn’t like the property and building just showed its age. The staff was very pleasant and they had a shuttle to and from the ballpark. The driver Andy was excellent. We would stay again.

The stay was not bad and the staff was nice. The carpet needs steam cleaning. It makes the room stink. I had to purchase a room deodorizer in order to stay in the room.

Really awesome front desk staff. Clean rooms and conveniently located Downtown. Pretty decent free breakfast options including make your own waffle station. Only negative was the elevator was out and our room was 3rd floor.

The property stated it was a smoke free environment (which is the main reason i booked) yet the halls and curtains reeked of smoke smell. The elevator was broken which is fine but the heat was on full blast in one stairwell and smelled of cat urine. The breakfast was nice but they ran out of coffee. Staff was friendly.

On the main drag not far from downtown but few restaurant choices nearby. Obviously close to a lower class neighborhood but relatively safe. Parking area was well-lit and safe. Reasonable price compared to other downtown hotels

The stay was good. The pillows need to be more bigger and firmer. The washing machine was down, so we could not wash, that was a downer and there was not enough towels available on A Sunday morning, due to needing a shower. The breakfast was great, so keep that! Overall the stay was good! We will come again!

The elevator was not in order which was extremely inconvenient being on the third floor. The listing stated that there was a restaurant adjacent, but it was actually closed down and looks like it had been for sometime. Drinks in the hotel lobby were ridiculously overpriced. I’m talking $14 for a can of Miller light! Staff was friendly, and it was convenient to Uber to Comerica, but those were really the only two positives about this property. It was rundown, did not feel clean, and was expensive for what it was.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy bed

Entire place smelled of Cigarette and pot smoke. Draps, carpet and paint was very old and gross. Breakfast was sub-par. Parking spaces were tiny and some people had damage to their vehicle due to this. Way over-priced.

We were informed when we checked in that the elevators were broken. We had to carry our things to the third floor in a staircase that had fans blowing hot air. We informed the front desk of this issue and they did not seem to care as 'maintenance left for the day'. When we got to our room, it was very small, there was a hole in the wall by the AC unit and window, and there was an unknown stain on the floor. When we woke up in the morning, there was a giant centipede on the ceiling above the bed. When I went in my bag to grab clothes for the day I was surprised to find a spider in my things. Overall the hotel was not very comfortable and would not recommend to people staying in the area. It is well worth it to drive a couple more minutes to a nicer hotel and more enjoyable stay.

The smell of Marijuana in the corridor was unbearable. Also my husband and i felt unsafe with strange looking men lurking outside of the building and in the breakfast area. Apparently a lot of people come in from off the street to eat breakfast.

I enjoyed my stay at Comfort Inn Downtown. It was my birthday week vacation and my first time visiting Detroit, and my stay at Comfort Inn was special. I recommend this hotel if you’re new or returning to Detroit for a vacation. The customer service I received was immaculate and five stars across the board. I’ve found my new hotel whenever I visit Detroit each time! Great job!
