Beautiful hotel, well situated for exploring the city. Gym and spa were wonderful and the rooms were very comfortable.

Till they change their entrances we will never stay there again. They should have Escalators on both entrances and take out the small round entrance doors, with a large luggage you don't even fit in it and we are not large people. They also very hard to push, it's ridiculous. When you enter the lobby and check in the music is too loud from the bar area, it's annoying.

Staff were pleasant. My issues were no easy walkways for stroller and luggage from curb side. Everything had to be lifted up or down a few flights of stairs to get to main lobby. Other than that it was an excellent stay.

It's a classic former CN Hotel with top notch staff, amenities, dining/lounges and a perfect location across from the train station which has a 25 minute nearly free train to the airport leaving every 15 minutes

Not a luxury hotel. Slow and unhelpful staff, old musty rooms and terrible management - everything takes forever and requires extra effort - from checking in to getting a spoon in the room. They also nickel and dime you for every minor thing - like having a fridge you can use in the room. The hotel also double charged us so this will require follow up.

Check in process and obtaining anything (tooth brush etc) takes a very long time and half the time does not happen. The staff are very slow and often don’t know what they are doing. The hotel collected payment via Expedia and then did not release security deposit. Overall an awful experience.

Enjoyed my one night stay at the Royal York hotel. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in Toronto.

Excellent food and drink options, the pool and locker room area is accessible even after you check out. We had a late departure and were able to store our luggage and take a shower before we left. Will definitely stay again.

Amazing staff made our stay a delight. Can’t beat the location!

My stay was ok. The renovated rooms are nice but it’s still an old property. You can hear everything through the thin walls, the air conditioning units are super noisy. The historic charm of this property is lost on me. Won’t be staying again soon.

This hotel has forever been updating their rooms. What was once a regal destination is mediocre at best unless you fork out for a gold experience. I’ve personally stayed at this location many times over the past 20 years and while the common areas of the hotel is mostly enjoyed the rooms are always under maintained. Paint, caulking…always sloppy. Bathroom floor is sticky and dust bunnies collecting in the corner is disappointing. All of this to say I would highly encourage hotel management to visit and stay at their luxury competitors in Toronto. We were given a room right next to the storage room and it was incredibly noisy from 7am-10am. Glass clinking for hours with carts rolling in and out constantly. Definitely not a relaxing getaway we were hoping for. Favourite things about this hotel is definitely the location and The Library Room Bar. The housekeeping staff is also very friendly.
