Lovely old building. Excellent beakfast. The stair carpet could be renewed, although it is evident that rooms have been renovated.

Very friendly staff and a beautiful building. The room was was lovely. We'd definitely come back.

We were very disapointed with the standard of the room. The room we were given was not refurbished to the modern standard of the rooms on their website. There were defects in the room, cracks, very creaky floorboards and areas that needed sorting in the bathroom.

Fabulous stay - room was better than expected. Very quiet and a lovely grand hotel

Everything really good and clean

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The only problem was it was very noisy due to ongoing works that started very, very early. They also had very few toilets available on the ground floor and this became an issue. Liked that the air con worked though!

It's a pretty glorious hotel, and I can imagine that in its heyday it would have been exceptional, though also much more expensive in all fairness. Unfortunately, I was given a pretty poor room that was nestled in a corner behind a fire escape, resulting in poor lighting and a dark room. The window was also drafty and was inadequate defence against the noise of the road. The bed didn't really fit in the room, and the mattress was similarly oddly too small for the bed so I knocked my leg against it a few times as I squeezed my way to the window or the wardrobe. The television was also unusually restrictive in options by hotel standards. I don't expect much, but the channel selection was well below average, let alone other features like smart TVs. I did think the quality of the fittings, bedframe and TV aside, was excellent and the bathroom was really quite good. I also really appreciated having a small fridge to use, this is a big plus for me.The problem is, this is a single room which they've squeezed a bed that is too big into. I really wanted to leave a good review for such a unique hotel, but given the poor room I was given, I'm unable to do so.

Great hotel. 20 mins walk to the city centre. Pay for parking at the hotel. Value for money. Good breakfast

All staff were very friendly and smiling all the time. I think their welcome by far is the most heartfelt welcome across all hotels I visited.

good clean rooms, bathroom slightly on the smaller side. Was annoying that none of the EV chargers were working during my stay. Staff were polite and professional. great value.

Very clean and convenient hotel.

For the price paid I would have expected a comfortable mattress & pillows, and free parking. Bedroom was pleasant; bathroom felt a bit dated and needed a good clean. Food in the bar was good quality but the drinks prices were extortionate! Staff all seemed pretty friendly and helpful.

Beautiful hotel

The room had a fire exit window which was letting in noise and cold air. The room was consequently very noisy with it being next to a busy main road.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Due to a football arriving at the same time as me i was upgraded to a suite. Althought i appreciated that it was to help me get to my room faster, the suite was way past its best. It was also in need of a good deep clean as there were stains everywhere. I did sleep like a log though and the location of the hotel was great. I would stay agin

Rooms are newly renovated clean tidy and great value for money and the room service breakfast was beyond value for money ...great value trip around

Lovely, well maintained hotel on the edge of the city centre, but a bit of a convoluted route to it around the one way system - use your SatNav unless you are familiar with Sheffield! Bed was a bit firm for us, despite having a firm bed at home …

A beautiful old building, we stayed in one of the junior suites which was comfy, spacious and very well equipped. The windows are old, so you can hear the traffic outside and there was a draught. We simply put the heating on in the room and we had a great night’s sleep.
