Easy access from the freeway

The property is old and needs repairs and updates. Check in room with ants all over. Building had a musty smell and an uninviting odor. Checkout within 3 days of an 8 days stay. Very disappointment for a Best Western Property. Will not revisit unless remolded.

Unfortunately the gym was closed for our stay and we were not informed beforehand.

Breakfast,pool

Room was shabby, beds were uncomfortable, smelled like mildew, metal air conditioner made a clanging sound all night. The stair railings were all loose and the were uneven with metal panels bolted to them to hold the railings. Tripping hazards.

Traveled with family and small children. Conveniently by the freeway. We stayed here one night for the beach before our trip to Legoland and forgot my Stanley cup when we checked out. The front desk staff who went out of his way to check our room right away when I called, is the definition of great customer service and care. Thankfully, the room wasn’t cleaned out yet, and he was able to find my Stanley, as it is a limited edition one. Wish I would’ve gotten his name to thank him. But, I would recommend and stay here again.

We enjoyed the location, near enough to the beach, close to Carlsbad for resturants and shopping, quiet room with the best airconditioning system we have ever experienced in a motel, very comfortable bed, wonderful hot tub, and an enjoyable, hot breakfast, all at a resonable price with friendly office hosts and motel staff. A very enjoyable stay indeed! Thank you Best Western Oceanside! You are a "5-star motel" in our humble opinion!

I requested early check in days in advance, they could not accommodate. I also asked for a pool view room, the room was not near the pool. 221 is not considered a “pool view”. The A/C was barely coming out as well. Overall not a good experience

I liked the calmness and cleanliness around the area. Staff was on point. Very excellent. Pool was great and clean. Fresh towels.

Value is what you get for this place. It's not the greatest. Far from it but for the price, it's difficult to get a better hotel in the area. It's relatively clean. The AC works well. Breakfast is fantastic with lots of choices. Location is fantastic. And the negatives, a little bit of poo smell on our second day. Not sure if it came from our room or adjacent. Walls and ceilings are paper thin. You can hear the highway and you can hear people on top and next to you.

Bed was broken on one part and completely tilted. Conditioner out. Construction going on outside so lost power for a couple hours and room got hot!

There is a little metal shelf on top of the toilet paper in the bathroom, it is very convenient but the edges are sharp and I scraped my right arm with it while trying to get toilet paper. You should smooth the edges to avoid someone else to cut themselves there. Everything else was good.

The hotel was in a quiet area in Oceanside everything was clean I had a handicap room which was easy to get around in ample parking staff was very friendly

It was a great stay. Would come back

Staff was friendly and that is about the only nice thing I can say. The beds, uncomfortable, cleanliness is subpar, location is kinda sketchy, lots of homeless seen on the right side of the property.
