This is our second stay at the Marwell Hotel Winchester. Even with a wedding in the main building, there was no noise in the rooms - superb planning :-) a 10 minute drive into Winchester, plenty of parking without any issues, a lovely pool for a morning swim. Friendly helpful staff.

Felt like africa pool was great rooms were clean and big good breakfast

Lovely staff and comfortable stay some areas of the hotel coukd do with a bit of decoration and the lights in the corridoors being lit all night long even during quiet period is a waste of electricity reccomend PIRs

This 3 Star hotel is lovely, surrounded by nature and a vibe to peace and relaxation. I stayed for one night due emergency but was 90 percent satisfied. Only thing I dislike is that they check in time is extremely late and check out extremely early . Management need to consider as customer pay for a full day but they miss out on 4 hours ! Standard check in time should be 1 maximum 2! And check out should be 12! The swimming pool was not working the day I arrive which was the reason I book it but never less it was an ok accommodation with lovely views

Hair all along the bathroom by the shower, toilet would not flush properly. Shower was pointless, water just trickled out and issues with water from the sink aswell.

Great food and very comfortable well appointed room

Cleanliness was well below par, the decor and furniture were dated and showing signs of plenty of previous use. Disappointed that it had not been maintained as it ought to have been.

Bar a bit slow to get served. Beds were terrible,very soft,rooms need updating. Reception and foyer and staff were lovely

Hotel is tired and needs some attention on paintwork Room was not clean , bits on the carpet , cobwebs , no mattress cover just 1 sheet over bare mattress Had run out of vinegar at meal time Mainly all staff were friendly and very good with my disabled daughter

Amazing stay as usual

I was there for works party. Had a great night staff and food was spot on. Room was tired, mattress very old and lumpy (107) toilet was dirty and the sink didn’t drain. We only spent a few hours in the room and left at 06.30 no opportunity to let staff know as reception was unattended when we left.

Menu choices not great. Shabby , needs updating. Mattress lumpy , bed not made properly This was supposed to be an executive suite but didn’t feel like it. Tiny bathroom. On the plus side the large bed and Balcony were a great for us and staff were very friendly.

The hotel should be rebranded to B&B at best. Very dated and in need of lots of TLC. Stayed here when it was quite new and was saddened to see how run down the rooms have been allowed to get wasnt i pressed with cleanliness either. Black mold round the bath. Toilet bowl rim awful and rustying sink. Had to pump toilet for it to flush. Breakfast was not up to much. Had better stays in cheaper hotels. Bed wasnt that comfy either old mattress and flat pillows. Wont be choosing to stay here again. It was adequate for families who needed to be near the zoo but not for a relaxing couples break.😔

The hotel looks rundown and out dated. the room was very dusty, the shower barely worked, the room was uncomfortably hot despite turning the radiator off, the bed was 2 beds pushed together with the most uncomfortable mattress on it. When it comes to the breakfast that was a buffet style set up but on some old fashioned portable serving dishes being kept warm with camping style gas stoves which made the food rubbery. They were serving coffee in a portable flask.
