The room was clean, fairly spacious and adequate for our stay. The communal ares were decorated well, with a different vibe for each area eg bar, breakfast area etc. The bartender was friendly, cocktails were good, and breakfast options were great. The hot chocolate was so nice, I had to have two cups. Whilst the spa is small, the hot tub was amazin (so warm and relaxing), the steam room (super hot), and the relaxation area was very calming. It's in a very central location for shops, restaurants, bar, movies. We had a lovely time.

The hotel is not what it used to be. Feels run down and need of updating. The 5th floor is currently having the air conditioning units across all rooms updated. We felt like we were on a building site. Holes in the ceilings and plastic coverings along the corridors. Luckily, there was no work being done over the weekend as many of the bedrooms on this floor were out of service and it I am sure it would have been noisy. Not sure I would stay here again.

Hotel was clean, modern, and in a perfect position for our visit to the theatre, On the minus side we had to ask for more teabags and milk as only two were left by housekeeping.

It’s attached to the Mailbox Birmingham, including the parking beneath, so makes it convenient when driving there and close to almost everything great with the Birmingham city centre. Great service by the warm and friendly staff and liked that there was outdoor seating (limited) at the front with a view to some of the city. Great for that ice cold pint of beer!! :-) If and when I’m back in Birmingham, probably my first choice or among my preferred choices. Ah, Malmaison are also a pet friendly establishment too, if this helps.

Very friendly check in lady who was lovely. My room was spacious and clean and bed was comfy! WiFi was great. Breakfast is outstanding. I also used the bar and the restaurant for dinner and both are great. The gym was good with heavy weights and a cable machine and squat rack. Central location - can’t fault it.

Easy check-in, excellent communication before the stay. The breakfast was 10/10 - especially the granola! Comfortable and spacious rooms.

We had booked in and went for a drink came back and took key didn’t work. My partner went down to reception to get more keys and when he returned we accessed the room to find a couple in there and they had been issued our room. This is extremely concerning for the security aspect of this as if I had if left my personal belongings in this room they could have had access to it and vice versa. There was no check when my partner went back downstairs to reception to check who he was. Despite reception sorting this out and another trip reception offering us a free stay this has left us feeling disappointed as this is a hotel we have stayed at frequently. I now have no faith with the hotel and this put a dampener on our stay and evening as I was worried if someone would be able to access our room on this basis it had happened to us in the first place then the other couple also. Unbelievable.

The suites are lovely and spacious. Clean. And booked for a special occasion so it was nice.
