Excellent central hotel. A bit of a lack of general public space like a proper lounge was only factor in taking a star off. Room was a little small too but entirely functional. Staff were absolutely great- very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic breakfast. Liked the environmental vibe.

This could not be a better location. We could walk to everything we wanted to do as well as countless restaurants. The breakfast here was wonderful…do not skip it.

Standard rooms very average. Comfortable bed, but no tea/coffee-making facilities. View monto noisy service yard. Great location, in the heart of the city, right by the harbour.

Good location. There was no fridge in the room which was disappointing.

Great location. Very basic/spartan room, but clean. Heat did not work in room so we were given a space heater as we did not want to change rooms. Breakfast is great.

Arrived in Bergen by train at 17:00. Was a short walk but very doable even carrying my pack. Location was great for walking around site seeing. Close to many food options and bars. Service in Hotel was wonderful. Great stay.

The hotel was in the best location for the town - right across the street from the fish market and other good restaurants. Not to mention a short walk to Old town Bergen with its museum. The Scandic was clean and check in was very easy.

Traditional on the outside, modern on the inside with a very good breakfast and friendly staff.

2nd stay (booked 2 days on either end of 12-day coastal cruise), so knew the hotel and its wonderful bkfst buffet. Had a much smaller room this time, but still very comfortable and with an even better view of Bryggen. Desk staff, particularly Inga, very helpful.

After a LONG trip, we dragged into the lobby and Inga was amazing. She upgraded our room (to Accessible - we're old and must have looked awful) with a view over the harbor to Bryggen. The room was quiet, spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very good quality with relaxed seating. Central location made extensive walks around the city very comfortable. Happily booked another two nights to recover after our 12-day Hurtigruten voyage.

Great location. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast was lovely and had lots of options for various diets. Room was clean and had everything we needed and the bed was comfy.
