The Loyalist Country Inn and Suites is located in a lovely area of Summerside. We were allowed to check-in a bit early, which was very nice. Our room was in the west wing of the hotel, which made it a bit of a trek ( different elevator, separate corridors,etc.) to get to the breakfast area and other amenities like the front desk and ice machine, but our room was super clean and spacious. The only real issue we had was the lack of hot water on our first morning there . The front desk said there was a boiler issue that would get fixed that day. On our second morning, there was some hot water, but it seemed like they were still having problems with it. It would have been ice to have been informed of this. Otherwise, I would say this is a good hotel for the price. I would definitely recommend it for anyone heading to PEI

The whole area looked as if it needed painting. The hotel restaurant is open only from Thursday to Saturday. Our room on the 3rd floor looked grubby. It took five minutes to get hot water in the shower. It was difficult to turn on the bath tap so I suspect that this room had not been used lately.

Clean room, decent breakfast, old building but nice staff!

We stayed at the inn for one night. It is centrally located, closr to many restaurants, and very easy to get to. We really enjoyed being close to the waterfront. The room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was fine, but not exceptional.

Walkable to dining and shopping. Friendly staff. Nice rooms.

Quick and easy check in, staff was great very friendly. Room went above and beyond, along with being clean the our room was big but really cozy, well furnished. Jacuzzi bathtub was a huge bonus we didn't notice on booking but was blown away! Amenities were great, good exercise room and very clean pool, no signs of mold that some older hotels can have. Nice and cold on the hot days and surprising deep! Possibly the best hotel we've stayed at in the Maritimes

Very large room but it was rather bare and empty looking. Pleasant view towards dock and Spinnakers. Breakfast was ok but rather repetitive, bread pudding pleasant but unusual, would have enjoyed the option of ham or bacon. No big problems at all

Overall this hotel was a okay stay. The only way I would return is if there was an event that was close to this hotel, otherwise I would try another or ask for a fully updated room (if there are any). The breakfast buffet was great and the staff hired for that were excellent. I had an issue with parking since there was an event happening one day and the front desk receptionist was not friendly and snapped at me when I calmly tried to explain the situation. While the room was clean, there were patches on the wall like they are in the middle of fixing a hole and stopped before painting. The curtains are old and the furniture needs to be updated. The beds were clean and comfortable. I put the sign out for maid service - for clean towels, sheets, and toilet paper - and no service was done from 8am when we left until 5pm when we returned so I had to go get toilet paper and towels from the front desk myself. The location is great, right on the water and near many places for food and entertainment.

Great place to stay. Great room. Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly staff. Fantastic view of the waterfront from the room.

Nice place. Close to Green's beach, Spinnakers Landing and other places. Most within walking distance, and a short drive to shopping on Granville St.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our visit with waterfront shops and restaurant across the street. The lady at check in was welcoming. The breakfast was very good in a nice setting.

Easy check in, staff friendly and helpful. Each room should have 2 chairs in them other than just one desk chair. With 2 adults in our room with King bed and only 1 chair, the other person had to sit or lay on bed. Breakfast was tasty and good selection. Perhaps more variety for eggs beside usually scrambled such as boiled, omelettes, fried. Bacon or ham some days instead of only sausages. Overall good. Some areas could use updating, entry doors to main office, carpet in elevator and a few other but nothing major and I understand plans are in place for renovations. The location is scenic and on the harbour, flowers and landscaping is beautiful, close to all venues, within walking distance to many. We stayed here once before and came back. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend. We love PEI and the Summerside area.

Fairly clean, excellent front desk staff, close to canada day festivities, gardens could use some work. Breakfast good, staff quite rude the first day (July 1) , better second day

This hotel is in a great location very close to the waterfront and restaurants. My room was very clean, large with an exceptionally comfortable bed. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and staff were very friendly. I'd stay there again.
