Stayed the weekend and attended the Chefs Tasting Experience on the Saturday evening. Absolutely fantastic meal with a tasty wine flight. The menu was well thought out and the food beautifully presented. Enjoyed a cocktail in Brazz beforehand for a perfect start to a great evening.

Exactly one month after our wedding on the 24th January 2026, we are still talking about it, because the service, hospitality, kindness, patience that we experienced was absolutely amazing? Our Event Coordinator, Chloe was absolutely amazing, her attention to detail was stunning. We just cannot thank Chloe and all the staff at The Castle Hotel enough for their professionalism, preparation and dedication in giving us a very special day to remember. For that, we thank you all.

Had Sunday roast here today. It was probably one of the best roasts I've ever eaten. Layers upon layers of flavour and very generous portions. Lovely setting in the Wisteria room in the hotel itself rather than in Brazz. I've stayed overnight in the hotel before and the rooms are very comfortable.

We enjoyed afternoon tea here on the 3rd of December. The quality of the food was great and it was nicely presented. The room we were in was warm and comfortable. The highlight was our server, Livvy - she was the sole person looking after us and several other tables and she was a delight, friendly, warm, chatty, a credit to this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea and the service. Car-parking on site is a little expensive, but convenient.

Brilliant location. Rooms are so quiet. Beds very comfortable. TV's are a bit old but not a deal breaker. Restaurant and bar very accessible. Plus a great pub out the front door (the Hideout).
