Room was great, place is aging a bit, pool area wasn’t what it used to be. Overall was fine.

Super convenient. Less than a mile walk to China town and downtown Victoria. Love Victoria downtown

We had a great stay. The front desk were very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were great. Would've liked a better restaurant attached as The Denny's at the hotel was a bit old. We were within a 17 minute walking distance to some lovely restaurants and breweries.

We stayed for 8 nights and we had a kitchenette with everything in it. We picked up fresh crab and mussels downtown and cooked a feast. Would be better with an oven although. And the room sleeps 5 but the kitchen only had sets of 4 for everything. Also, when they cleaned the room, they would only leave three towels.

Had a wonderful stay

Our room was clean and well kept. Staff was accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised they had a bathroom chair available for my mother who is elderly. Nothing negative to say about the property. I would stay here again.

The room was dark and dingy. When we checked in, the room smelt of cigarettes and marijuana. When we talked to the front desk to get a refund and check out he offered to spray the room with febreze. It’s right by beside a beer store so there were lots of homeless around the hotel and they were hanging out in the Smittys restaurant attached to the hotel. We came back and found a homeless man passed out in the middle of the hotels parking lot. I will never stay at another Sandman hotel after this experience.

Very disappointing stay. Our room was not properly cleaned upon check-in. There were no toiletries in the washroom, and only two towels were provided for five guests. I had to repeatedly ask for basic necessities that should have already been available. On the second day, I left the housekeeping sign on the door expecting the room to be cleaned and the toiletries replenished. Instead, they only took the dirty towels and didn’t even make the beds. After complaining again at the front desk, we were given supplies and bedsheets, but by then it was already 10 PM and housekeeping was unavailable, so we had to make the beds ourselves. Guests should not have to repeatedly request basic amenities or clean up after housekeeping. This experience was frustrating and far below what I expected from a hotel stay.

Room was nice. Only one elevator working, and the functional elevator sounded horrible. Not a great location; bar nearby had very loud music until 11:30 pm.

I had a good stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hot tub was nice and relaxing. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would stay here again.
