Front staff friendly, good size suite, comfortable bed, good air conditioning throughout the hotel. Best part is having Moxie’s restaurant attached to the hotel. Lots of surface parking available and location is convenient to highway as well as downtown. Unfortunately the hotel building is situated in such away that suites only look out to warehouse style buildings.

Room was dirty upon entry. Hair on the bathroom floor and in the bathtub, ring along the waterline in the toilet. Popcorn and crumbs on couch, dust and dirt accumulated on the carpet along the walls. Otherwise the property overall is well kept and clean. Welcoming staff, comfortable bed, and effective A/C. Complimentary coffee and tea in the morning very nice.

Amazing Hotel with amazing staff. Clean, quiet and accommodating of pets and children! Would make it a point to stay again in the future. Modern, clean and comfortable!

I always stay here when in Red Deer. Hotel is showing a little wear but the rooms are super clean and the staff are amazing

Wish the bathroom had a fan. Otherwise we had a great stay.

We were in town for a wedding and asked for an early check-in, our room wasn’t ready, but the front desk woman did end up getting us a room so we could change for the wedding. They were very accommodating and lovely to deal with.

Rooms were clean and fresh, ac is great for hot days. We thought pool Temps were rather cool and the hours were too short to truly enjoy Access to the site was a bit tricky but once you are in it's easy. Overall good price and space.Staff were great on check in and check out.

Super helpful staff. Front desk manager was amazing

For starters, the front desk people were rude upon check in. It took a very long time, while my children were very upset. When we walked into our room, there were bugs on the floor, and it smelled extremely bad. When asking for a refund, the manager did not care and was not willing to. They also did not have an additional room to offer us instead. When I went back to inspect the room, I noticed the kitchen was dirty, and there was dust in the room. We spoke with another guest on the floor who also mentioned her room was absolutely disgusting, and she had booked for 3 days and was stuck there. Learn from us and book somewhere else. The manager is heartless and money hungry.

Coin washer and dryer outside our room was extremely loud! People were doing laundry at midnight and sounded like a jet engine was flying into our room! We talked to front desk and they said they would put up sign in future… did nothing to help us get a good night sleep!

Our stay with the Sandman Red Deer hotel was very disappointing. We had booked a 2 queen bedroom (4 guests) but was assigned a king bedroom with a pullout sofa bed. I understand that this happens from time to time and comes with the territory of booking with a 3rd party site; however, that was only the beginning. Our front desk agent was friendly enough and tried to help where he could, but there wasn't much he can do about the room. The sofa bed was of a terrible quality that even our 10 year old daughter complains of backpain after just sleeping for one night. The bedding looked like it hasn't been slept in for months and not to mention no additional pillows or duvet covers for the sofa bed. The air conditioning unit is placed awkwardly in the lower corner of the room, with a desk placed pretty much right in front of it and therefore blocking the airflow. This meant was the room got pretty warm but the AC would shut off because the thermostat thinks the room is cool enough (Since all the cold air was trapped in the corner). The AC also didn't have a constant fan mode, so it would just rumble loudly on and off throughout the night. The bathroom was "newly decorated" with new wallpaper but the bathtub and faucet were clear old and dated. Instead of providing us with body soap, we were provided with a literal bar of soap for showering. I cannot remember when the last time I had to shower with a bar of soap in a hotel. We would not recommend the hotel to anyone.

Lots of parking, desk clerk super friendly, room clean, quiet, air condiitioning was nice to have. Would stay again, would recommend close to Dennys and Tim hortens for a quick snack.

The staff were very friendly upon check-in, however the room we had was absolutely terrible, it smelt old and like cat / dog pee, the carpet was dirty, and the furniture wasn’t great. The bathroom door didn’t close, and the shower didn’t have a shower door so all, so all the water leaked onto the floor, the bathroom was small & not super functional because the door didn’t close. Outlets by the bed only worked if the lamp was on. Tv was in weird place / unable to watch & vending machine was not stocked. Likely will not be back.
