Unique hotel experience. Wonderful food.

The setting of the hotel in an old large farm house is very special in the modern suburbs of Aalborg. The bus to the Centrum is at the entrance of the property. The breakfast at this hotel was outstanding! We enjoyed the sauna and the pool immensely however the best part of the experience was staff who were attentive, kind and informative. We loved our stay there!

Location was convenient for a stopover after getting off the Hirtshals ferry. Pleasant, up-market hotel with lots of facilties. Well kept. Pros : Friendly staff, easy check in and digital check-out. Modern and spacious room. Toiletries and kettle provided. Cons: during my stay on Saturday night parking was a challenge. There was a function on so all spaces were taken. Ended up parking on the grass at the front of the hotel (which the staff confirmed was OK). Building is old so don't expect the best sound proofing - slamming doors and loud conversations do travel. In summary, excellent value for a high-end stay with some slight compromises. Would stay again.

Property very convenient, close to the city but not in the city. Rooms definitely need entire renovations, carpet too old , smells, patio very nice to have it in some rooms but can’t leave the door open, lots of spiders will get into the room and mosquitoes. Kitchen part very good, perfect breakfast and stuff very attentive.

Dirty duvet under an open duvet cover, floor and carpet were uneven and humid (unit k, room 38), except for the bathroom, which has a radiant floor. Old hotel. Make sure to have an upper floor room to avoid moisture problem. As for the staff and the lobby, they were impeccable. Should be more a 2 stars for the standard rooms. 4 stars is largely over rated.

The hotel is in a beautiful location just outside Aalborg. The staff are professional and provide a beautiful service! My favourite was Louisa in reception (10/10) and the serving staff in the restaurant. The rooms are very comfortable and the main hotel plus restaurant are kept in perfect condition. The hotel has a lovely pool, sauna and spa which was wonderful after a busy day to relax in. Free car parking and easy public transport busses.

The staff were all fantastic! Bedding was comfortable but not what we’re accustomed to - a simple duvet on a thin mattress pad. Room was clean with pleasant amenities. Beautiful grounds

I have been traveling around the world for over 35 years, both for business and private purposes. I've slept in really luxurious hotels, but this one is exceptional. Nowhere in the last decade have I experienced a more professional and customer friendly service. This applies to both the reception staff and the waiters of the excellent restaurant. Let the "duck juice squeezer" speak for itself about the uniqueness of this place. Not only is it there, but they still use it. Wonderful experience. Thank you.

Very nice and helpful staff, Yet a very old hotel, without AC No Minibar refrigerator I did expect them to have one so over all very high price for very little….

The hotel has a convenient location outside of Aalborg, perfect if you have a car but getting there by bus wasn’t difficult either. It’s cozy and romantic, you can take a walk in nature nearby or rent a car and do some sightseeing. We booked the junior suite, which had plenty of space, own private terrace and a jacuzzi tub. The downsides: the hotel should take better Covid precautions; it was WAY too crowded at breakfast, no markings for social distancing, and the entire dining area was actually full so we had to eat in the lobby both mornings which wasn’t very pleasant. Could have easily been fixed by extending breakfast with one hour and give guests suggested times to come eat, in order to avoid overcrowding. Unfortunately if you avoid eating meat you will have to get takeaway or go out to eat. Not one dish on the menu without meat, not even a salad. We know that it’s usually a difficult diet to cater to, and we never want to be “that person”.. but they could only offer steamed vegetables when we went to talk to them so we opted for takeout. All in all ok, but would need some improvement, more attentive cleaning and service.
