This was our second stay at the Encinitan and we loved it! Great staff, great room size for the price, and amazing location!

This is our go to hotel for summer vacations! Great stay for an excellent price. Breakfast is included, and includes a variety of items. The room is spacious with a great view from the balcony. Only negative was a lack of kitchen utensils which was easily solved for less than $5 at the local Walmart.

Great location / family friendly

GOOD: Property clean, pool ok, parking very easy, great location, decent price. THE BAD: $15 surcharge when arriving? that practice was outlawed in CA and at Fed level. Not the friendliest staff. Had no response about junk fee. Porch nice but faced highway.

I was disappointed with this hotel. It didn't live up to pictures or description. It wasn't terrible but I'd hoped for better.

Hard to know where to begin everything from checking in to checking out went perfectly! Staff was friendly and helpful room was cleaned spotless everyday breakfast was excellent I wish there were more stars to give them beautiful view every morning and conveniently close to everything! This stay made my vacation so much better!

Clean property with new FF&E and good room service, but it’s a very old and the exterior and amenities are in need of updating.

Our ocean view room, 1 king with kitchenette on the 1st floor was very spacious and comfortable. They had the nice shampoo, conditioner, soaps, and lotion, and the main cooking gear. We didn't cook, but kept our salads and water cool in the spacious refrigerator freezer. The parking garage was nice to keep our car cool. The gym, pool, and breakfast were all nice. The staff was friendly. We ended up taking the gate leading to the steep hill to the main street. I wish there were stairs. Regardless, the location was nice, only 11 min walk to the Moonlight beach and also to all the local restaurants, market and stores. We were close to the train tracks so we can hear the train go by. We got lucky to get this deal via Hotels.com. Oh - don't forget the $15 charge for breakfast and resort fee when you check in. Worth it!

Great service from staff at check and very friendly cleaning, service staff!

The rooms are super spacious since I traveled with family of 6. The only let down was the showers. The water pressure was so low I am not use to at all. The sink was a little outdated but usable. Other than that, the location is great and enough room for whole family.

The location is great and the rooms are spacious. The condition of the building and rooms were a little outdated and in need of some cosmetic repairs. The breakfast was disappointing.

My stay here was good overall. The hotel room had some wear and tear but they seem to be maintained well. The Keurig and mini fridge was a nice touch. My room was clean and I didn’t have any noise disturbances during my stay so that was a plus. I would stay here again.

Clean, spacious room. Good location. No issues but sofa bed was a bit small

One of my favorite getaway spots. A lot of nice plants growing on the grounds, great water quality in pool and spa.

Hotel needs renovation . The shower had mold and it was old . The front desk clerk was very nice

The property grounds and the views were really nice. Everything was clean for the most part and the pool was quiet. The breakfast wasn’t the best and the rooms could use some updating. The workout room could really use some air conditioning.

Our bed had stains on it aswell as hair and the towels in the bathroom had stains

Had a good time with my family here! My daughter just went back again for another great few days there.

Water smelled of sewage. Bathroom awas out dated and dirty. Did not feel comfortable when showering. Room smelled and furniture was beat up
