Nice room and comfortable bed. Enjoyed the view and Adirondack chairs on the terrace. Great location and proximity to Village, Harborside Park, and ferry. Decent cancellation policy. Customer service is an area of weakness, though. Front desk was polite but we told them of light out in shower stall and it was not replaced during our stay. Despite the Black Pearl restaurant being inside main hotel building and steps from front desk they operate as separate entities. When we first arrived several young men with valet shirts were right main hotel doors. They informed us that they worked for restaurant only and that we needed to park by paying at pay station which we did before entering hotel. Once inside front desk gave us a parking pass to allow for free parking. It would have been nice if valet had told us to check at front desk before we paid for parking. Also following a restaurant meal when I went to front desk to alert that ladies bathroom needed attention they directed me to speak to restaurant personnel. Hotel and restaurant should agree to mutually beneficial level of professionalism when it comes to interacting with patrons. Hotel would benefit from bellman services (our room was up three flights of stairs with no access to an elevator) and carpet on stairs and terrace in need of replacement. All said, we probably would stay there again if we stayed overnight in Port Jeff. The tasteful, clean room and convenience of location make a stay there worthwhile.

While the marina was nice and the town was beautitul, the service when I arrived was awful. The parking situation was chaotic / no spaces available and I had to park 10 min walk away and carry all my bags to hotel. The doorframe of room they provided was dingy and the rubber seal around the door was weathered and broken. The locking mechanism on the door was so damaged that I could only close the door with a deadbolt. I can't believe the cost of the room for the backwater quality recieved. Would never stay again.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room size is nice and the staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the property is old and it shows. Cannot say the price was worth what we got.

As far as location;you just can't beat the convenience, especially if you are coming in on the ferry. With that being said though; that is why I find this hotel doesn't have to put much effort into much of anything else. First of all, parking is terrible. With no suggestions, or designated room spots for your vehicle;one is left to try to find a somewhere on your own. You are issued a Danfords mirror hanger so you do not have to pay in the public parking, which can be a distance, or choose valet for an additional 30$. We had to keep asking for additional towels for our party of four, they did not provide the room with enough. Each morning they would come in and make our beds, while we were out, which was nice, but would take our used towels and not replace.By the end of our three day stay we were sharing old towels.Coffee is offered in the lobby in the morning from 7 am on,but our first morning it wasn't ready at 7:15. There is a Dunkin nearby that you can walk to, and in fairness they do supply a coffee maker in the room, but I personally do not like using those. You will pay for breakfast. Finally this is not a handicap friendly/accessible hotel. If you have any mobility issues I would strongly suggest to let them know in advance.I am still able bodied but we were lugging our suitcases up three flights of stairs, others might have extreme difficulty.Checkout day they were knocking at 10 am to see when we were leaving. Check out is at 11.

Room was very old, it smelled of mildew. The bathroom did not have air circulation. Service was extremely poor asked a few times for basic accommodations like more hangers, bathroom floor mats, soap, and never received anything. You get a parking pass but there is never any parking due to it being open to the public. I was on the 2nd floor and there was no help with luggage. My TV didn’t work. For the price you pay it’s for the view not accommodations.

The view (beyond the parking lot) and location were nice. No amenities and no service. We had to carry our bags up 3 flights - a challenge when you are 72. We let the front desk know one the privacy shades in our room was missing - an issue when you share a balcony with a room on either side of you and people are walking by. It still hasn’t been addressed when we left. It was clean so that was a plus.

Staff were awesome. Beds were great. The bathroom had a thick scum/ slime outside the shower in the corner where i guess a mop couldn't get into the corners. It was really noisy and our keys were disabled prior to check out time.

The room was cute and not the usual. Very spacious and airy. However, the doors all squeaked when opened , the floors also squeaked. The lamp wasn't working, kept turning off by itself.

Great location near shops and restaurants and great view. The restaurant was new but served a great steak filet and mashed. Room was large and cozy and had a great balcony but it was wide open to another room and would have helped to have a privacy divider or something between me and a family of 4 that was secure. I understand it is under renovations, but the crew could have waited until 8 or 9 to start banging and the bathrooms really need that renovation, especially the showers. This is a historic compound with no elevators so keep that in mind. In just a couple of months it's going to be even better, I think. I will definitely come back!
