We had a wonderful stay here! Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, and it had everything we needed, including a kitchenette. The view from the lanai was beautiful. The location was absolutely perfect, just a couple blocks from the beach. We will definitely stay here again!

The staff at the property was absolutely wonderful and we got a fantastic upgrade to the 25th floor. The view was great and the suite was wonderful. Everything was as we hoped it would be and we wished we could’ve stayed another day.

Family Stay at Pacific Monarch – A Mixed Experience This Time We’ve stayed at the Pacific Monarch over a dozen times, and it’s usually our go-to spot for family trips to Waikiki. The location is ideal, and we’ve had many great experiences in the past, which is why we keep coming back. This time, however, our stay was a bit of a mixed bag. We rented two rooms for our family, and while one of them was a delight—spacious, cool, and very comfortable—the other left much to be desired. The first room felt overstuffed with oversized furniture that didn’t fit the space well, making it cramped and awkward to move around in. The air conditioning unit was oddly tucked away inside a closet, which made it nearly useless in keeping the room cool. It was uncomfortably warm throughout our stay. Had we needed to use the hide-a-bed, it would have been a logistical nightmare. The only way to make space for it would have been to move the dining table out onto the patio, which clearly wasn’t a practical solution. Thankfully, the second room more than made up for it. It was ten times cooler, better laid out, and much more comfortable for our family to relax in. We still love Pacific Monarch for its location and have had many good stays here, but this experience reminded us that room quality can vary quite a bit. If you’re traveling with family, it might be worth calling ahead to request a room with a better layout and functioning A/C.

I've stayed here twice now and have enjoyed my stay both times. I like the location. Both rooms I've stayed in were clean. Nice amenities. Friendly staff.

Love the location, easy to walk around to shops and food and less than 5 min walk to waikiki beach. Parking is probably the cheapest at the hotel compared to other ones, easy to get in and out. Staff was friendly and accomodating

The front staff was very kind. The location is great. View is beautiful. Just an older property with an elevator out of order so the wait times for other two elevators are quite literally 5-7 min. House keeping only comes once every 3 days and even though I had an ocean view suite, my 3 kids and I were very cramped.

I first rent from VRBO private owner room 1505. The owner was deceptive said it was an ocean view but it was not.

The location of Pacific Monarch is great! close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. But honestly, the experience didn’t live up to the price we paid. The elevators are extremely slow; every morning before breakfast, we had to wait 5 to 10 minutes just to go downstairs. On top of that, the hotel is currently under renovation, which was never mentioned during booking. There’s constant noise from construction equipment throughout the day. If you’re looking to relax after morning activities, this is definitely not the right place. It was frustrating and stressful to deal with all of this during the summer and peak season. For what we paid, it really wasn’t worth it.

Very roomy. Great value and close to everything. A little dated, but we’ll definitely book this hotel next time. We got here a day earlier than originally planned and took this hotel for just a night. We’re impressed!

A little bit noisy at night. You could hear sirens and trucks. There is a construction nearby going on for awhile due to a construction of a new hotel.

It was perfect for the time we were there but I booked it for the lanai only to find out that you can't even fit a chair out there. There was construction right out our window and the $30.00 a day amenity fee was extreme
