The rooms are very small and the elevators, even smaller. However, the staff wss extremely helpful and kind. The location is close to many of the main sights that you want to see

Pros: - Clean room with distinct Roman charm - Nice building - Friendly staff Cons: - Hairdryer would overheat and stop working after only a few minutes of using it - If you're above the 1st floor, the building has a weird layout where you must take an elevator up from ground floor to the first floor, walk past rooms, then get onto a second elevator to reach your floor (it's also slow/small - we found ourselves taking the stairs more than once). - Despite what Google may say, if you're booking through Expedia, the breakfast is not free or included unless you explicitly include it. - If you're not keen on walking, this location is a bit further from tourist attractions (expect ~25min to the Trivie fountain, and ~40min to the Colosseum). - The room I stayed in had stairs in it, ~5 steps leading from the main door/bathroom entrance to the bedroom (might not be a con for you). - The AC randomly reset higher when we were away - The bathtub is high, and I say that as a 6'4" man - I hit my shin on it trying to get out. The bathtub also doesn't have a door, so the bathroom floor gets soaked. - The shower has a weird design where the cord wraps around the temperature handles and at times will change the temperature on you. Expect random heat blasts followed by random cold bursts when moving around. Overall, the stay was fine for the duration we had in Rome. Would I say it was worth the price that we paid, likely not - but the problems encountered weren't major or vacation ruining.

Good location and nice view

Everything about our stay was exemplary, except the size of the room. It was very small. Not even enough room to open our large suitcases. But the staff was extremely helpful with everything needed. Very much enjoyed my stay in Rome.

The room was too small but when I did more research l, I found out that majority of the rooms in Rome are built this way.

We really enjoyed our stay at river palace hotel. Great location. Deluxe room is quite spacious. Staffs are very helpful.

The River Palace Hotel is a beautiful Hotel right in the heart of old Rome and walking distance to everywhere. The complimentary breakfast is absolutely delicious and the rooms are decorated beautifully with very comfortable beds. Highly recommend and we will be returning when revisiting Rome.

Great location to explore rome. Just a few minutes walk from the bus or metro. Hotel staff are really friendly amd have recommendations for places to eat. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was typical italian and in plentiful supply. Rooms are clean and tidy. Would recommend 👌

Everything was beautiful but I did t like that I had to walk down stairs in the middle of the night to go use the bathroom.

The breakfast menu was excellent wide selection an American breakfast offered. Air conditioning worked well. We found private pick up service was a racket because the driver doesn’t wait and showed up early. The hotel was rude and scolded us about not calling the hotel . Checking in was not a welcome experience. Other guests told us the driver didn’t wait for them either.

Staff very accommodating. Very clean property. Breakfast outstanding. Ideally located viator tours. About 35 minutes north of major attractions, but cabs everywhere. Really enjoyed our stay and will recommend to future travelers.
