Awesome hotel!

Karlstad is a jewel. Beautiful small city. Walkable and the scenery around the city is spectacular. Breakfast was excellent. Pub and restaurant outstanding. Room smartly designed. Very professional and efficient staff. Will return!

Good value for money and great location! Friendly staff and nice breakfast

Checking in was fast and easy—staff torally prepared. It’s at the heart of an old Swedish town so parking was a couple blocks away at the public library pay lot. Inexpensive, easy and there was plenty of short term parking in front of the hotel for check in. Our stay was short.

Karlstad is a lovely place and the hotel was extremely comfortable. Fabulous breakfast buffet.

Overall very nice. Parking is a bit of a bother especially in the rain being so far.

River-view room was spacious enough with sound-proof windows, which helped since the room is above the outdoor bar area. Comfy bed and pillows, excellent breakfast included. Make sure you get confirmation of your parking if booking it. We requested parking months before with our booking, only to be told that none was reserved as we had not been given confirmation. Their fault apparently, but no solution provided other than to go somewhere else a few blocks away. If you want to use the spa area, you need to pay extra and book a time slot days before you arrive. Rooftop pool area is free, though. Food at Bishops Arms Hotel is excellent and a has great ambience.

Great Staff.

Small room, not worth the price. Breakfast is good, the location is fine, though there is very limited parking at the hotel. Dining was merely OK. If you can find something better, take it.

Good hotel in a great spot in town. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Rooms are extremely small, especially toilets there are no place to sit.

We were visiting our foreign exchange daughter and her family. The hotel was lovely. Our room over-looked the river. It was spacious and comfortable. American-sized shower! The breakfast buffet was amazing. We loved the location, which was walking distance to everything. The pub "Bishop's Arms" was perfect for unwinding after a long day. We would certainly stay there again.

Herregud, vilket magnifikt hotell och top-notch service på alla sätt. Det är ovanligt att besöka ett så stort hotell där alla hörn, alla rum, alla delar är så hög nivå, men det var det verkligen.

Sehr schöne Lage am Fluss mit der Möglichkeit den Abend in einer Rooftop Bar zu verbringen. Das Frühstück war hervorragend mit sehr viel Auswahl und selbst gemacht Waffeln

Fantastiskt rum med skön säng, rent, tyst, fräscht badrum, underbarutsikt från balkongen. Spat inne väldigt litet men fint. Spa, gym och behandlingar på olika våningsplan

Das Hotel überzeugte vor allem durch seine zentrale Lage – viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants waren bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch ein günstiges Parkhaus befand sich in unmittelbarer Nähe, was die Anreise mit dem Auto besonders unkompliziert machte. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet: eine vielfältige Auswahl an frischen Speisen, sowohl herzhaft als auch süß, ließ keine Wünsche offen und sorgte für einen gelungenen Start in den Tag. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist auch die Sauberkeit im gesamten Hotel – sowohl im Zimmer als auch in den öffentlichen Bereichen war alles sehr gepflegt und einladend. Das hauseigene Restaurant bot eine gute Auswahl an Speisen in angenehmer Atmosphäre – ideal für ein entspanntes Abendessen nach einem ereignisreichen Tag. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, den wir gerne weiterempfehlen!
