Staff Khatija n the rest of the staff were amazing

First time in Agadir and first time in Morocco. Had an absolutely wonderful time at the Sofitel. All the staff were very polite and helpful. The pool area is beautiful, and the hotel has its own beach area looking out onto the promenade with a sea view. The nearest shops and other restaurants are a bit or a walk but you don’t really need to leave the hotel. Souk El Had was a 50MAD taxi ride away. There was lots of options at the breakfast buffet- I’m missing the fresh bread! Would definitely stay again for a relaxing holiday.

Terrible Experience – Definitely Not 5-Star Quality We arrived at the hotel expecting a smooth check-in at 3:00 PM, as clearly stated in the booking confirmation. However, the room wasn’t ready until 5:30 PM – over 2.5 hours of waiting with no proper explanation or apology. The staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful, showing no urgency or concern for guest comfort. The hotel does not reflect 5-star standards in any way – in fact, it doesn’t even meet the expectations of a 3-star. The rooms were outdated, worn down, and frankly, dirty. Carpets stained, bathroom not properly cleaned, and a general lack of maintenance throughout. The pool area was just as disappointing – most of the sunbeds were broken or heavily worn, and there was an overall feeling of neglect. This place has clearly not been updated or properly managed in years. For the price and brand name, this was a huge letdown. Would not recommend and will not be returning. There are far better hotels in the same area that actually value their guests and maintain basic standards of hospitality.

Good staff service and excellent facilities

This property was excellent and we loved our time here. The breakfast was brilliant and had a good range and staff were very helpful! The hotel smelt amazing and was very clean and the pool and spaces to relax are awesome. Only downside is the bathrooms do not have a douche and the showers were problematic where it would be hot water then suddenly change to cold and then back to boiling hot. Also this hotel is slightly away from the main strip with restaurants (walking distance approx 1 hr) however, you can easily take a cab there for approx £4 pounds. Overall we loved our stay here and it was excellent!

This place is incredible. Photos do not do it justice. The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. The only thing I would say is you wait a while for a drink on the terrace but a party from that everything was perfect. We will be back

Beautiful hotel with very attentive staff. Amazing food in the buffet restaurant, both breakfast and dinner. Pools beautiful but not heated. In mid April, they were chilly and the water on the beach warmer (there is no private beach and the beach is fairly dirty, but nevertheless enjoyable). The kids enjoyed the kids club for a day, especially the video games! Even our 11 year old had fun. Overall, highly recommended!

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Very friendly staff, delicious food and services. I will be back!

Lovely stay

Great hotel and great service.

The property itself is nice and clean but the room walls are very thin and AC units work at its own mind. The concierge is rarely at his desk, the bellboys are very nice and helpful. The reception staff are unnecessarily moody and not very helpful. Pool catering staff are good but only 1 to manage everyone, so very delayed in getting served or anything. Whereas the reception would have 5-6 people to manage 2 thing. Check in process is very slow, we had to wait 45 minutes. I would recommend the property but they need to change their staff in reception and organization of where to allocate the staff. Otherwise not much near by but a nice place to sit and relax.

I had a wonderful stay and the staff were fantastic. The only disappointment was on check out I was promised that my bill would be sent to me. This did not happen. I emailed several times to follow up the request no response. Luckily I have a friend that lives there and he had to physically go and ask before it was sent. Very disappointing

Really bad experience! I booked a specific category of room and when I arrived late at night they had already checked in a big group so they didn’t have my room category but yet didn’t try to make anything to make it up to me. I booked a double room with a pool view and ended up with a room with no balcony over looking a construction site! I informed Expedia and they tried calling the hotel but no one answered them! I woke up in the morning and left but came back at 4pm to the hotel and I’m at my big surprise the room wasn’t done. I saw a housekeeper and asked why my room wasn’t done yet and she said sorry we have a big group coming we had to prioritize the arrivals. I again informed Expedia but no one answered them! The hotel is outdated everything is old, the tv’s are at least 15 years old and they didn’t even have an espresso machine in the room Definitely overpriced for the extremely poor experience that we had with no manager whatsoever who tried to apologize or try to make our stay better

Very clean and very pleasant

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort, and it was an experience worth raving about! From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with an ambiance that was both elegant and welcoming. The décor throughout the hotel is simply stunning, blending modern sophistication with tasteful touches that make you feel right at home. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority here, as every corner of the hotel, from the lobby to the rooms, was impeccably maintained. The professional staff made my stay even more enjoyable, always going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The concierge team, in particular, deserves a special mention for their friendliness and helpfulness, providing excellent recommendations and making my itinerary seamless. Dining was a culinary delight. The food was not only delicious but also offered a large variety, catering to every palate. Each meal was a new adventure, with dishes that were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The venue itself is excellent, whether you’re here for business or leisure. The hotel is OK looking quite dated once you leave the lobby area. The lifts are small and old. The rooms are not soundproof or carpeted so you hear every bang and scape, why hotels don't put those cork bottoms on furniture amazes me. The beds are old and really soft. The breakfast is good as is the pool area but it is not heated.

It was very unorganized, prices varied, not many options on accommodations of food options to dietary requirements. Serve in some locations and other options were just room service. Want to sell package for some items and timing not convenient or open late. Tour prices or taxi prices 20 folds then average. Prices for same items from hotel were 8x more expensive from market or other restaurants, no fresh pure fruit juice options but sweetened and water downed, no water dispenser. Serve coffee in some hotel restaurants like coffee. No milk in room for tea coffee, no tea coffee packets in room. App screening options on tv but was not available. Couldn’t arrange for boxing match to screen on any terrace tvs or worked in room. Too much arguments between staff/ and overall differences
