Decently spacious rooms with a pleasant view. I especially loved that the showers actually had some room to move! The rooms are well isolated towards the other rooms and hallway, I never heard any other guests from our room. The windows however were very poorly isolated and we constantly heard cars driving on the road outside of the hotel. Since Falun seems to have a strong EPA- and vintage car community that likes to blast music late at night, it was quite annoying. The staff was however always helpful and kind during the whole stay.

Date of stay: night of July 15–16, This was my most unpleasant hotel experience in 3 years of living and traveling in Sweden. We arrived late at night after a difficult drive — fog, rain, and moose on the road. I had called in advance to say we would be about 10 minutes late for check-in. The reply was cold, with no understanding or support. When I arrived around 00:10 and approached the reception, I first showed my Ukrainian international passport. But that wasn’t enough — the staff member then asked for a visa. I had to go back to the car to find the documents. I have a legal right to stay in Sweden under the EU Temporary Protection Directive for refugees, and in all my travels here, no hotel has ever asked for such documents at check-in — especially not in such a vulnerable moment, at night, after a stressful journey. I honestly believe that if I were from an EU country like the Netherlands, showing a passport would have been enough. This felt like unnecessary suspicion and unequal treatment. Instead of basic hospitality, I was met with coldness and stress. Very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values respectful and humane service.

The hotel exceeded all our expectations. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the reception team was always polite, helpful, and quick to resolve any issues. The hotel features beautiful renovations, a delicious breakfast, a nice pool, and a well-equipped gym. This was the best Scandic we’ve ever stayed at

One of the more modern Scandic Hotels close to the ski jump. Takes about 5 minutes by car to go downtown Falun. Staff very friendly and service minded.

Nice hotel. We got a suite for 4 with a king size bed and sofa bed. It was clean and spacious enough. Large bathroom with bathtub and shower. Nothing fancy but all the necessary was there, including kettle with tea and instant coffee, hair dryer, ironing board, TV with USB or HDMI input for PC or portables. We liked the small internal pool and the sauna. The breakfast buffet was really good and varied. The personnel is kind, attentive and professional. Minus : The wines in the bar are not so good. Not a great dish choice for dinner but reasonable.
