Great Hotel with fantastic facilities including gym and pool - the breakfast experience was the best we have experienced! Only down side was that the swimming pool was very busy and had a waiting list - we didn’t know that until we went down to access the pool.

The room was clean, secure with controllable heating and there was a safe and iron in the room. There was no fridge in the room, but I was able to keep my drink cold for the morning in the sink filled with cold water. I was able to work on a table at the bar and the friendly staff kept me going with refreshments. It was a shame that Room Service stopped serving on Saturday evening at 11pm. I didn't get back from my meetings until late and I was pretty hungry. Otherwise, this is an excellent and fully recommended hotel. I have stayed here many times and it will continue to be my choice of hotel when visiting Newcastle (although technically the hotel is in Gateshead).

The woman who was on reception was brilliant, so friendly and helpful. We had a view of the river which was great and the room was spot on

We loved the hotel! - Great room with comfy beds and good powerful shower. We got two proper double beds rather than than the usual double bed+futon arrangement, so that was great. - Helpful and friendly staff. - Amazing breakfast - Great location - And the kids certainly enjoyed the pool (although it needs an adult to be in the pool with them) - The wife loved the decor, and is now looking to get our house redone...

The hotel location is great (overlooking the river and bridges), lovely big reception and bar. Staff excellent and very helpful. Lovely sized room, clean and well appointed. Only thing i can knock a star off for was the air-con. There was no opening window so i had to have the air-con on which was noisy and pretty ineffective - so a stuffy and uncomfortable nights sleep.

Really friendly staff especially the staff on breakfast. Nice rooms. Downside for me was air con was noisy and was tricky to turn off. Still slept well though .

A well appointed modern hotel, ideally placed for visiting Newcastle. However, it is a little understaffed. There's no concierge available to help with luggage so if you are elderly or disabled I'm not sure how you are supposed to manage. Also, several waiting staff had phoned in sick (bank holiday coincidence?🤔) so breakfast was clearly challenging for the excellent staff who were there. Security is also questionable, with no lift security anyone can enter the hotel and get to any floor without a room key. The pool is pleasant but changing area could do with an upgrade. However, the hotel was very reasonable and very popular with families with children. We enjoyed our stay on the whole.

The gym, pool are good. The rooms are ok but the bed was not the most comfortable. Good area, short walk across the bridge to bars restaurants etc.
