Nothing was too much trouble Staff brilliant

The property itself, the grounds, bar and restaurant are stunning but unfortunately let down hugely by the rooms in the Chateau. Admittedly I did opt for one of the rooms on the lower priced end of the scale but didn’t expect the room to be unclean, just not as well appointed and modern. However the walls were stained, carpet was bare, edges of the room were thick with dust and dirt, the shower tray floor tiles were stained and black around the drain and I couldn’t bring myself to sit on the threadbare dirty chair at the desk. It looked like it had been wallpapered in the last few years but the wallpaper was peeling in places and the skirting was falling away from the walls. The rest of the hotel - bar, pool, restaurant, grounds are truly stunning and idyllic though so it’s a shame the chateau room (or rooms possibly) let it down. Major renovation required of the rooms to bring them up to the same standard.

We stayed in the Pavilion Du Parc..This was supposed to be an upgrade but we had no view unlike in the Chateau which we had always stayed in previously so we were disappointed. There was a mixup over a dinner booking which caused some embarrassment and no apologies or understanding by the staff Also the renewal of supplies was very limited. No tea bags only fruit teas. What do the English drink!! Tea!!! Also no milk for tea just for coffee. Everything else was fine though the dinner menu was limited and the same each day

Worn out hotel with worn out attitudes.There are better places to stay

A hidden Gem, perfectly positioned for a rest over ahead of our return crossing to the UK, Fantastic Staff, rooms, accommodated our little ones can't fault it at all, will definitely be returning

This hotel is ideally situated for the Calais if you have an early crossing to UK or a late crossing into France. The room in the chateau was ‘compact’ with a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the grounds and the swimming pool. The dinner in the restaurant was fine but not inspiring.

Great value hotel. Excellent staff where nothing is too much trouble. Room functional and comfortable. Great grounds. Only issue we had was evening meal did not come up to scratch. Excellent breakfast.

Room really does need a fridge, spotless throughout, dog bowls & pet bed in room.

Ontbijt was wat karig, hoewel de croissants heeeeerlijk! de kamer was schoon en smaakvol, het bed top! De kamer was wat te warm. ondanks dat ik de de heating op off had gezet en het maart ( rond 5 graden snachts buiten) Het personeel was vriendelijk! het zwambad heerlijk alleen de douches waren er koud en de pashokjes konden niet op slot en de lockers ook niet. Wel mooie lokatie en goed onderhouden!

A lovely old building, lots of character. Very welcoming. Lovely food in the restaurant. Breakfast was a great selection and fresh.

The building itself was beautiful and very convenient for the onward journey back to the uk. A little disappointed in the room - there were 2 downstairs at the end of a corridor and it made it feel a little like a dungeon!! There was quite a lot of noise during the night - a boiler or machine if some description? One lamp didn’t work and the when using the shower the plastic runner at the bottom of the glass panel was non existent so water all over the floor. I updated the reception who were really pleasant and said they would get it looked into. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful and definitely the way to start your day.
