Property was decent. Staff lacked professionalism for a hotel. Definite lack of ownership or caring as if guests were an inconvenience to them.

Took forever to check in. Rooms were ok but not very nice. Pool didn’t have enough chairs. Had to cross a busy street just to get a pool towel.

The view pools and breakfast were amazing. Hotel security was also on point. Parking was a little confusing.

Great location, very centrally located in town and right on the beach. A bit dated. Breakfast was nice to have but just okay, nothing spectacular. Very lacking in number of chairs around the pool areas

Amazing surfing & beach, best hot stone massage of my life, the general staff was not nice and spoke poorly about guests. They seemed annoyed to be there, and things like the kids zone I expected to used were closed the entire time.

It was a nice looking property- food was delicious. The room, even though I got ocean view, was very small. No microwave. There was black mold around the toilet wall because of how humid it is. The location was good- walking distance of a lot of restaurants. Wasn’t much night life though- so if you are looking to party don’t come here. Pools close at 9 pm and they didn’t allow my kids to play with the ball.

We have been coming to the Diria since 1992. It has grown and improvements made. It is comfortable and always a favorite stop when we come to CR!

The Hotel was wonderful. Breakfast in the morning was great. Staff was helpful and wonderful. Property clean and safe. Walking distance from an array of restaurants. However, when we first arrived the restaurants on the strip are very pricey. You need to find the food courts or Soda( small authentic cooking restaurants, ) on the side streets. Google is your friend. The Beach at Tamarindo is rough and darker waters. Made for surfers not swimmers. We found Conchal and Brasilito beaches that at 30min drives away. Use uber if you have the phone app. Conchal beach is beautiful. Waves still rough because of rainy season I think. However, white sand and much calmer waters than Tamarindo Diria Beach area. We took a Salas dance class. Our dance instructor, I think her name was Louisa, was fantastic. My advice for the hotel, especially during rainy season. Put the umbrellas in the room. They will give you umbrellas at the front desk when asked but most people don't ask because they are unaware. I asked another guest where we could find that sturdy umbrella she had. She informed us of the complementary umbrellas. Overall our stay was fabulous. I will be back.

All round it was beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Only downside was the cocktails. I feel training in this would be helpful as I come from the industry I know how to make excellent cocktails. This was my only criticism if I had one.

The room is small and old, the family swimming pool is super nice, worth the trip! breakfast is good too! I would say the service especial the people work on the front desk need more training.
