we stayed here at the end of our trip and had the seaview room, which was amazing with the views, perfect to relax. Very nice and big room, comfortable bed. The staff was very nice - we loved that we could stay until noon for checkout. Breakfast: is a la carte - and is was very good the beach right in front of the hotel has lots of boats and jet skis coming and going, but you are only a 5 Min walk along the beach from the main Kamala beach. there are some nice restaurants around and a 7 eleven if needed.

When we checked into our room, the room was very, very hot. We had to wait 20 minutes for the room to cool by the air conditioner. There was no beach chairs in front of the hotel to sit on the beach. The room was maybe 50 feet from the noisy road. We could hardly sleep at all. Very very upsetting would never stay there again.

The room was clean and spacious, bed very comfortable. Kitchenette was well stocked and convenient. The balcony was nice and had a great view. Location is excellent, direct access to the beach walk. Pool is clean and pretty. Staff is very friendly, the restaurant is great (though I only ate there once and just had soup). The only downside is the door to my room did not really lock, there was just a simple push-button mechanism, and the sliding deadbolt was not aligned, so it would not work. Anyone with a key could have gotten in at any time. I could not lock the door from the outside, either, when I left the room. There’s also not a safe in the room that I could see. I didn’t have any issues, and I put a heavy chair in front of the door when I was sleeping, for peace of mind, but just something to note. If I ever come back to Kamala, I would stay here again.

The room was excellent and large with everything you need walk out to the pool and restaurant as well as the beach we really enjoyed the 6 days we stayed and would recommend it to everyone and would definitely stay again.

This was a great stay on Kamala beach area, well run establishment with pool & restaurant & helpful staff. Great location with convenient shops in the area- all u need and tours as well. 1st hotel establishment I stayed at : did not provide in-room coffee which is a common staple in all accommodations.

We had 15 days staying in Kamala Dreams hotel It was a fantastic holiday the spacious beautifully serviced (every day) room with the superb pool (with a spa) just 2 meters from our room an excellent breakfast every morning the property had been recently refurbished and is in great condition Jan the manager really knows how to run and manage the hotel and was extremely helpful and excellent to deal with thanks Jan for making our stay so enjoyable we will be back again Murra and Annette Guyton New Zealand

Most excellent stay and services provided by managers and staff. Location is prime with quick access to all businesses and other establishments in the prime area of my stay. I highly recommend this hotel for your next destination vacation. My room was cleaned and amenities were replaced immediately. At this location everything is at your fingertips. Excellent A

excellent location. staff is great. room was nice except for a peculiar smell which never seemed to go away. The shower tub basin is very slow to drain.

Very well situated surrounded by many restaurants, shops, massage places, excursions shops just in front of it. Workers are cheerful and very helpful. Listen to clients needs. Jan, the owner of the place is a very nice and efficient person. I frankly had a wonderful time. I will go back with a great pleasure.

First off I'd like to write that Amy (the owner's daughter), is an AMAZING hostess and manager! I worked in the hospitality business for 17 years of my life at The Plaza Hotel in New York City, what this family owned establishment showed me was just phenomenal. Jan, the owner was MORE than one can expect (he knows my slight problem while I was there) and was an absolute help in accomodating me. Will I return??...OH YES I WILL!!! Thank you all at Kamala Dreams, Jan and Amy...I THANK YOU BOTH even more!!

gerat location overlooking beach with easy access to the others

I picked this hotel because I liked the location. Right on the beach and with a pool. My initial room was a bit noisy and also I could smell the food from the kitchen but I was moved into a better one the next day. Good things about the hotel are location (although I now prefer the other end of the beach which is quieter and doesn't have the smelly storm drain right outside) and the staff and management were friendly and helpful. Downside is that the entrance is through a not very attractive restaurant right on the road.

We were in room 201 overlooking the beach the best room by far.

This hotel is a little dated, with no safes in the room (although you can use the individual ones in hotel office). Air conditioner is off when you take the key and as only one key is available - this is inconvenient. That being said - we loved the hotel. Huge room, big balcony overlooking the beach, beautiful family run buisness....recommend.
