Im going to be brutally honest here with my review. I am a Spanish born person who currently
lives in NYC. I travelled to La Coruña with my 2.5 year old, 8 week old baby, and wife to my cousins wedding. If you are bringing a family I would advise strongly against staying here. Definitely not family friendly, totally and utterly overpriced, rooms are dated and ok at most, and food menu is vat boiled overly salty and sub par for the price point. 3 experiences that can will sum up my stay and you can decide for yourselves:
1/ After traveling for nearly 16hrs from NYC we arrived at the hotel. My toddler was sick with a cold and the newborn was being a baby. Around 12:00am I was up trying to calm my toddler rub some vix on her so that she could sleep and not cough all night. The baby was also up and was crying for at most 30min. We got a call from the lobby “ people are calling saying there is a baby crying, is everything ok? How can we help you”. Ok! Lols you can either move the people complaining, who were yelling in their room all night anyway, or put families in a designated area, or ban families from staying at your hotel. We all payed to stay here and deserve respect especially those with little kids and a newborn.
2/ my mother left our room key for us at the lobby after the wedding because she had to grab something on the way back. When we returned to the lobby after the wedding I asked the gentleman at the desk 3 times in Spanish and English if he had the keys to our room and he ignored me. I just gave up and figured I’d get the second key the next morning. I’ve never been ignored by the person at the lobby of a hotel before, incredible to say the least.
3/ really the last straw. I went to the lobby on the third morning and the person at the desk told me that our room keys had been deactivated for no known reason. I was like who runs this place lols.
The location might seem great but it is isolated from restaurants bars or anything else in the city. I think this city has much better to offer at this price point. I hope this helps with your decision.
