This was the perfect 2-day getaway that my wife and I needed. The entire staff was very professional and friendly, the room was updated, comfortable, very clean and the location was perfect right on the beach.

Welcoming and professional. Spacious room with furnished balcony to enjoy the ocean view. Great amenities with coffee maker and plenty of complimentary coffee. Excellent valets on the beach and made for a perfect beach day. My wife and I enjoyed a great weekend getaway. Thank you!

The room was spacious and perfectly decorated. The balcony was great to watch and listen to the ocean. We also loved the breakfast selections and coconut and mango popsicle treat in the afternoon. The beach chairs and umbrellas were perfect. 👌

The beach is awesome. Very friendly staff. Be aware of stairs. Seniors or handicapped might be challenged ! Pool water was too chilly for me. All in all this is a wonderful place . Love Carlsbad

A lovely boutique hotel right on Carlsbad’s superb beach, with amazing views & sunsets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, tastefully decorated and with all necessities. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and a new surprise each day. Beach chairs, umbrellas and toys are provided. Stairways between rooms, pool, & beach may present a problem for elderly or disabled (only one of the three buildings has an elevator). I recommend the rooms with ocean views.

Great location and lovely stay throughout. The small breakfast set up is lovely, really good quality and tasty. Great location within a few minutes walk to shops and restaurants and right on the beach.

This is a beautiful hotel on the sand. Beautiful rooms, staff, pool area with fire pits, beach staff that set up chairs and umbrellas on the beach free of charge (but tip), delicious breakfast delivered to your door if you order. Been coming here since before it was remodeled 15 years ago . I have traveled extensively throughout the world and yet this hotel remains my happy place💜☀️⛱️

Love this hotel! Right on the sand, waves crashing in front of the deck. Just heaven. Breakfast is healthy conscious a delicious. Bedding is super comfy. Poolside and fire pits are very enjoyable and great ambiance. Staff is very accommodating and helpful.

awesome property right on the beach. Pool located on the deck above the beach hit it as well. Guest can enjoy the fire pits along the pool. plenty of amenities to enjoy such as complementary breakfast every morning or your option to have breakfast in bed. The staff was always a text away and ready to help at any time. We also enjoyed writing the complementary bikes as we rode through Carlsbad Village. Which is walking distance from the hotel. We enjoyed your stay we’ll be telling friends and family about the property.

Beach Terrace Inn is our favorite inn in Carlsbad. We've been a loyal customer for over 14 years. We love the convenience to the town, the beach. However, this past trip we encountered problems with housekeeping. They're definitely understaffed. We don't know whether it's due to the higher minimum wage in California or the increase in immigration enforcement but they had problems keeping up, We even had one day when there was no housekeeping, We had to go to the front desk to get fresh towels.
