Super property with excellent value for money. The facilities were fantastic and the pool area was particularly wonderful. The buffet has a several options and the food was delicious. Located in ideal position close to the local town and shops with a short drive to the nearest beach

Nice and clean

Really nice and relaxing place to stay, i don’t play golf but I found the golf course fascinating and massive. I feel that water should be given during meals rather than making us to buy water at every meal time, also only one complimentary water was given on our arrival and no more afterwards. The spa was sooo nice, the staff are lovely, the reception staff really helped us a lot to secure an outing. The hotel is one hour 15 mins from faro airport

Nice property. Starting to reach the dated category but not there yet. Staff was very friendly. Food was great and the Grounds well kept.

I was astounded by the quality of this hotel for the cost. I would have expected a hotel of this quality to be much more expensive. The staff were excellent.

Very comfortable rooms food excellent. I was here for the golf and wasn't disappointed. Two very good courses and excellent practice facilities.

Staff is great and the facilities are well maintained overall. The common areas need some maintenance capex. The dinner buffet is overcrowded and not exactly my taste but staff again is great! Easy walk to the golf courses. The golf courses are too crowded at times and it takes the fun away. I know it is a separate business but still, that is why you come here for in the first place.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. We really liked the pool area and amenities. The staff at the dinner buffet were absolutely amazing and helped us enjoy delicious food in spite of some severe food allergies. Staff at breakfast and dinner and also the room cleaning staff were all lovely and we will definitely be back again!

We stayed here 2 years ago and were really pleased. We had a great 5 star experience. Boy, how a hotel can change in just a few years.... On the good side: Nice pretty hotel location Pool area is great and the pool bar (in the 5 star part) El Faro has a great ambiance Good breakfast buffet selection Pool view rooms with balcony are nice (Superior Rooms) Majority of staff are friendly This hotel is marketed largely to cater for French, Spanish and Portuguese. The other part of the hotel is a 4 star Aparthotel, 90% French. The Aparthotel guests are permitted to use the 5 Star hotel facilities which impacts negatively on the other guests: 5 Star area pool and bar are far nicer than those provided at the Aparthotel complex which means, every day there is an exodus to the 5 Star area and there is insufficient capacity of sun loungers or seating for lunch at the bar to cater for all. No care given to those with young families who don't smoke or areas allocated for non smokers. If you don't want to inhale passive smoke, you have to stay indoors. If you want breakfast in the beautiful outside breakfast area, you'll have to inhale about 5 cigarettes each. The whole of the bar and pool areas are at times like going back 40 years in UK as all the French (90%), Spanish and Portuguese light up with impunity whether or not they have young kids next to them. In short, if you're a smoker, you'll love it. If not, go elsewhere.

Lovely hotel,friendly and efficient staff couldn’t do enough for you very happy with the service cleanliness and facilities if I had one negative it would be the lunch service at the Faro bar,the queuing system was not what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel insufficient amount of tables and chairs which meant a longer than necessary wait to have lunch but lunch was fine
