Hotel is in the middle of a trading estate and cut off from everywhere breakfast was though very good and probably worth the extra money. Would I stay again no it’s a tired place no kettle in room as per the pictures and quite tired.

Not the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in, with extremely dusty room, bathroom had a ‘drainage’ smell, which all made is wonder how clean everything else was!

The Hotel Ikar is a small green oasis, located next to a busy road. It is only a 10 min drive to Blois. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Most of them are of Indian origin, while the hotel also has an Indian restaurant. My room was very comfortable and equipped with a water boiler for coffee and tea. Unfortunately, a mini fridge was missing. There was a fan in the room instead of an A/C. I did not try the breakfast buffet which looked okay. Although there are a few cheaper options in Blois, I would recommend to pay the extra few Euros and stay at Hotel Ikar. It is definitively worth it and you won't be disappointed. it is excellent value for money. I will stay here again when I am back in Blois.

Nice stay

I have been charged twice for my stay of a week, first by expedia when I booked and now by the hotel although I told them that I had already paid expedia, I am waiting for a refund from the hotel!

No lights in hallways. No AC. Can not open windows. Super narrow parking spots.

Clean and comfortable. Great value with very nice staff. We got there late and they opened the kitchen and served dinner. Excellent Food!

Very clean accommodation, good breakfast, easy to find the hotel good parking

The first room we were given smelt strongly of urine and despite the air conditioning unit was unbearably hot for my toddler. We asked to be moved due to the hideous smell and were eventually given a room on the ground floor. This had no urine odour but the room was not very clean, especially the bathroom, and the toilet seat was completely broken. My toddler was sick on the bedding of the main bed and the staff replaced the bedding, but left the soiled laundry in our room. Following our stay, my daughter had gastroenteritis for half of our holiday. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice hotel and a good stop over on he journey South. Clean room , Staff are great and restaurant lovely.

Comfortable room for four people. No elevator so we had to climb 3 floors with our heavy suitcases. The reception desk close before 11pm (contrary to what they've stated in their policies)

The hotel was extremely quiet not surprising as it was in a the middle of an industrial/ commercial centre quite distant from any facilities. It was a advertised as "Blois" but was in fact several miles from there. A towel in the bathroom was dirty and the shower drain was partially blocked. We were offered a change of room but declined

Rooms are small, room door had to be slammed to latch, carpets had spots. In need of an upgrade. Best thing was the friendly & helpful staff.

Poor location, poor condition and poor service.This is our worst stay , hotel got no elevator and no air-conditioning, and the funny thing is they provided us with a electric fan which is full of dust. I have booked a room for four, what I got is just a tiny and attic liked room on the top floor with them adding two beds just right under the skylights. This is so ridiculous !

Booked 2 nights Friday and Saturday. Was very surprised and very disappointed to find that the restaurant was closed on the Friday night although we had not been advised of this when we booked. The hotel is located in an out of town industrial park but the receptionist told us that there was a restaurant on the opposite side of the road. When we tried to walk to this restaurant there was a concrete barrier running down the centre of a busy dual carriageway, so we therefore had to drive to the restaurant which we did not want to do. We ate at the hotel on the Saturday night and the food was very good and the staff were good - but why is the restaurant closed on a Friday night??

This is a clean, fairly modern, basic room. The room is quite small (apparently typical for this price range). My only complaint is the beds are too hard - someone apparently, incorrectly, believes that firmer is better for your back. Location and neighborhood is good, I would stay there again.
