The most spectacular views , wonderful staff , 2 pools at upper cliff level and one at sea level , and elevator to their private sun chairs on the water , water taxis for a fee to Positano. Fabulous property. A delicious breakfast included as well. Note : Water access however not at a sandy area - must jump into the water from a ladder. Small beach one can swim to easily but it’s somewhat rocky like most Amalfi beaches. Float pool noodles provided to swim in the sea. It was wonderful.

WOW! what an experience, not just a hotel, they have it covered from every detail to make this a 5 star vacation! Loved staying in Praiano instead of Positano. Much quieter and easy access wtih the water taxi that the hotel will arrange to take you into town. Also free shuttle into Praiano. Can't wait to come back!

This is the greatest hotel I have ever stayed at. My wife and I spent two incredible weeks at GHT for our honeymoon. The staff, views, and amenities are just out of this world. The way this hotel was built and designed is just unbelievable in every way. I will never forget it. Just walking around the property, and down to the beach, is just such a unique experience. This was worth every penny, and we would absolutely stay here again, and hope to. This is a top tier hotel. The service is wonderful and family like. The only aspect that my wife and I did not like, was the amount of small children staying at the hotel while we were there. Parents had zero control over their kids running around and screaming. This was multiple families throughout the two weeks. People can be very inconsiderate, and made the beach club way less peaceful than it should have been for what we paid. I’m not saying make it an adult only hotel, but I certainly would not complain at all. Also not having a shuttle to Positano and only to the center of Praiano was slightly inconvenient. But we made the transportation work.

GHT… Gorgeous Views, Mixed Service This hotel is stunning—picture-perfect with breathtaking views from the rooms and restaurants. I arrived late and was warmly welcomed by Michele, but my first dining experience at the “1957 Bar Bistrot” felt cold. One young blond server was dismissive, and the manager, Luigi, forgot to pass on my drink order—something I only caught by speaking up. I wish the front desk explained things upfront: no checks at meals (you just give your room number), you can tip directly or charge it to your room, and massages must be paid in cash. Details like these matter, and the staff isn’t forthcoming—ask everything in advance. Breakfast with Rocco was lovely, and my massage with Stefano was outstanding—a must. Lunch at the beach was pleasant, though swimming access is by jumping in, which isn’t ideal for non-swimmers. Housekeeping was disappointing—my room never returned to the crisp, polished standard from check-in, which felt off for a hotel of this caliber. My last night at La Cala delle Lampare finally brought the warmth I hoped for—thank you Rocco, Antonio, and team. Unfortunately, Luigi reappeared, accidentally knocking my belongings off the table and offering only his title in response. Even with some odd energy, I still enjoyed my stay—the property is breathtaking and Instagram-worthy. I may not return, but I do recommend experiencing it at least once. Shoutout to Michele, Rocco, Antonio, Stefano, and Luisa for the bright spots in my visit.

Such a beautiful property! We’ve stayed at several 5 star resorts along the coast and this was our favorite even though it only has 4 stars— I assume this is because it didn’t have a gym and true spa (only ocean side massages). However the views, decor and beach club more than make up for that.

The room I booked wasn’t available, so instead of telling me when I checked in and asking me if I would be ok with the room I was getting, they just did it without saying anything. Once I got to my room I realized this wasn’t what I booked. I went back to the front desk to ask about it and they offered me 2 other rooms to switch to, one was a huge downgrade and another which was an upgrade but I would be charged an extra 250 euros a night. For a hotel that is charging me $1,300 a night you would expect better treatment and service. I should not have to pay for the upgrade if the room I booked wasn’t available. Then on the first night staying in my room apparently the power went out which caused the AC to turn off while we were sleeping. My pregnant wife woke up hot in the middle of the night to 2 phone rings from our room. She then called the front desk and spoke to someone who couldn’t understand what she was saying. After I woke up a few hours later I went to the front desk to complain about the AC not working and the 2 rings that woke us up and I was told that the power went out and when it comes back on it automatically causes the phone to ring, and the breaker needed to be reset for the AC to turn on. Nothing was offered or done for this inconvenience. At check-out I noticed a charge of 12 euros and 50 euros that I asked about. I was told the 12 was for allowing me to borrow a cork screw and the 50 was for a bottle of sunscreen. Absolutely ridiculous! Never again!

Our stay at Grand Hotel Tritone in Praiano was, without question, the best part of our 12-day vacation through Italy. We visited Rome, Venice, and then Praiano — all stunning in their own ways — but nothing compared to the beauty, tranquility, and hospitality we experienced here. The hotel itself is absolutely majestic, perched along the cliffside with breathtaking views of the sea. What truly set it apart, though, was the outstanding service. Every staff member went above and beyond to make our stay special, from helping with transportation to arranging unforgettable experiences. We loved that Praiano was less crowded than other Amalfi Coast towns, offering peace and charm while still being incredibly convenient. The hotel made it so easy to explore Positano and nearby areas with seamless shuttle, taxi, and boat options. Our transfers to and from the train station were flawless — smooth, timely, and stress-free. One of the highlights was the boat day the hotel arranged for us. It was an unforgettable experience on the water — relaxing, scenic, and perfectly planned. While this hotel isn’t the cheapest, it is worth every penny. The included breakfast was incredible, the views unmatched, and the complimentary shuttle service a huge plus. We can’t recommend Grand Hotel Tritone enough. If you’re looking for a perfect mix of luxury, location, and genuine hospitality, this is the place.
