The hotel was a reasonable cost and the staff were all okay

Clean comfortable very restful

Staff great the room I was given was very small for a double also on a high floor. Staff changed it straight away and helped with my door key. Breakfast was fine Parking fine Nightclub was noisy and bar was what I expected sociable.

Room was OK quite small but was perfect for 2 adults. Bathroom fairly new was nice and modern. Cleanliness 6/10. Didn’t have breakfast or dinner there. Close to all the little shops on Lord st. Only bother is being at the front of the hotel hearing all the music from pubs. Was perfect for just a night. Early checkout 10am.

Typical britania property, run down, minimal investment.

I may have been lucky prwvipibut this was possibly my worst experience staying at a hotel . I paid for early check in as I needed to be somewhere and checked in online the day previous. When I arrived the receptionist said they had no rooms as the person the day before had taken payments but not done something on the system so she had no rooms she can allocate. I explained that my room was booked and paid for weeks in advance and I paid for early check in she said there was nothing she could do the manager was on his way and if the other girl didn't turn up the manager would sack her and repeated this over and over again saying the manager was very unhappy . No criticism if the receptionist herself she was very young and should never have been in this situation as she was not experienced enough. But I tied explaining I dont care how upset the manager is she has a customer infact several customers who are upset and thats what is important. After contacting the manager again she was able to eventually allocate a room no mention of my early check in fee being refunded or any form of compensating. The the key card would ot open the door and I had to travel up and down to the third floor to have it reprogrammed 4 times before being let in by a master key, advised I needed to leave can it be sorted by my return it wasn't and again had to be let in by a security key . Room was nice and tidy but just above a bar that had a live band playing loudly making it impossible to sleep

Very dirty and depressing. I had to move rooms 5 times! A record! Music blasting full volume with base till the early hours even on a Monday and Tuesday night and even beginning at 7.30am in the first 3 rooms I was offered. Do not take a room overlooking Scarisbrick avenue unless you like to be woken by blasting music and bar deliveries. Generally worn down and smelt of vape throughout. Most things need replacing. The final room I got was actually acceptable with high pressure shower and very hot water. Large tv, decent enough fittings and very spacious but as the windows don't open more than an inch it was swelteringly hot. Typical Britannia style of beautiful historical features being neglected and left to ruin mixed in with dirty carpets, broken furniture and shoddy workmanship. Plus being given the Key card to an occupied room on my first room change! Common with Britania from what I've heard. Staff was mixed bag, some were excellent some not so much.

The hotel was absolutely good I am going again on the 20th of July for two nights this time and have good time again it was absolutely excellent that hotel thank you

Brilliant stay, lovely hotel and great staff

Enjoyed staying here. Being an older hotel it has a bit of character about it, which I like. Woman on reception helpful, very nice and friendly.

Great hotel, made to feel welcome, clean room and great food. The bar was very good and served good beer

The only problem was house keeping needs to improve had to go down for tollit roll plus bathroom was not cleaned properly but apart from that for the price good would stay there again

Simple process hotel met needs for the purpose if the stay

Room was clean bed comfy shower over bath window was broken I reported it to reception 3 times nobody came the bar ok when it was open shut at 10.30 Saturday night and 10pm Sunday night no warning just put shutters down and he was gone breakfast was good plenty to choose from.
