Friendly helpful staff and excellent well cooked hot food in the evening. Excellent large car park. Unfortunately very small full English breakfast was awful. Everything except sausage was very over cooked, some items actually burnt. Each morning something was missing. Juices was tasteless. Dinning room chairs was very stained in need of a good clean. Our room was a good size but needed updating and decorating. The bathroom had a musty smell with mouldy grouting. The outside grounds is disappointingly unkempt. Condition nothing like this picture above.

A bit dated but clean, easy parking, easy checkin, very good value and very friendly staff.

Most of the staff were lovely. No lager over the weekend, poor bar management. Rarely anyone at the bar, had to go to find staff. Would not accommodate an early breakfast at the weekend, only a continental. The hotel desperately needs updating. The bath mat was mouldy and stank, the shower curtain wasn’t much better.

The pillows were like bricks, the bed was old and uncomfortable and there was a hair in it. The room had disgusting old shaggy carpet that had bits stuck in it. The room smelt horrible and clearly had had a dog in it, I had to take an antihistamine as I felt so itchy. There was no mini bar. The noise from the creaking floor boards upstairs was very bad. Tried to go and eat something but there were no staff and then another guest had said don’t bother unless you want to wait an hour for food as they had been. The whole experience was like being in Faulty towers

Visiting friends in area so was ideal for us.Perhaps lack of staff young girl in evening was covering reception and bar.On the whole very good value for money.

Clean and comfortable although rooms hot at night. Staff friendly and helpful Handy for Hickstead show ground. Breakfast good value for money. I would say ready for a good refurbishment.

Check in and out was quick & easy. The carpet in the room had marks/stains, but everywhere else was clean. Provided body wash and a good amount of towels. Room was roasting! There is no aircon, just a small desk fan and the window doesnt open much due to safety reasons. Breakfast - friday food was made to order, lovely lady. Unfortunately, bacon was tough which seemed like it was under a heated lamp for hours and I found a black hair in my coffee (I did check the mug before use and I have blonde hair). Which you can see in the photos attached. Saturday - breakfast was set up as a buffet, seemed somewhat better, but the scrambled eggs random black chunks? (didnt have my phone to take a photo). Overall stay was okay.

Good value for a Sunday evening

Room was large and clean although a bit dated. Mattress was hard and very uncomfortable. Payed for breakfast which was very poor. Service was good , food was terrible.

Clean room, friendly staff. Well located between Brighton and Gatwick.

Crew enjoyed the stay, comfortable and good food.

Pleasant place in a convenient location. It is possibly a bit tired now, but the parking is good and spacious, the restaurant food was of reasonable enough quality, prices are not extortionate. I would go there again

Clean, quiet, comfortable rooms. Easy access and ample free parking. Great accommodation for a great price.
