we had to change rooms 3 times due to A very strong smaellnof cigarettes, then an insect infestation and then the 3rd room was not very clean and needed a lot of maintenance. The main house, spa and breakfast were great. Some Room maintenance and furniture renewal would make this a fabulous stay.

Don't let the pictures fool you. The swimming pool looks like a big bath tub. The room I had was on the second floor. The carpet in the hallway needs repacling. What really turns me off is the location of the extra toilet rool. It's located at the foot near the toilet bowl. It looks dirty. I have to ask for fresh rolls instead. Anyways, it's not worth the price. But after all, we are in the UK where everything is expensive.

Very disappointed with the room, shower didn't work and we asked about room service , reception didn't know if they were doing it due to a large wedding, the reason I booked the hotel was for this.

It was fine for a night... but very hot in the room during the heatwave. Fan in the cupboard gave some relief. Only one set of towels for a double, not enough for two people wich unfortunately we didn't realise until the morning. It fitted standard room description well, it was fine for short stay and staff are friendly.

Booked a superior room but they put us in a room beside a family of 5 with 3 noisy children. We had to move and ended up in a vacant room that shouldn’t really be in service.

Beautiful house which has the bar and restaurant. Most of the rooms are away from the house, and there was a lot of noise from the road in the morning. The rooms are a bit tired. The restaurant is in a lovely room and the food was ok. The swimming pool is good.

Beautiful setting, but unfortunately our first floor bedroom in one of the chalet/lodges was a let down. It was all very tired and basic. The bed was tiny, it’s the smallest double I’ve ever slept in! We didn’t eat there as another couple recommended the pub down the road, where we had a lovely dinner.

Stayed for a wedding which was fantastic all around. The grounds are incredibly scenic and the house is lovely. Had EV charging which was handy to leave with a full charge. Room was clean and tidy and everything we needed. Breakfast was really good, great selection and well cooked. Would stay again

The room was nice, ive stayed before and the standards vary. But overall a lovely stay with a nice pool, jacuzzi and sauna for free with the stay. Free parking and comfy beds.

According to the hotel review, the location of the hotel is nice, and the parking is good, but the cleaning is not satisfactory. The bed sheets were not properly cleaned; there were still traces from previous use. Also, the chair had dust on it; it was not properly cleaned, and it wasn’t vacuumed.

A little gem! The food was the real surprise, absolutely delicious. Milly was the perfect hostess too. The wedding we saw was magical. The rooms are fresh and new, although I challenge the choice of carpet, looks dated already. The pool could do with more staff cleaning it at busy times instead of on their phones but it still was a fantastic addition to the overall facilities. Phenomenal value, we shall return!

Overall stay was ok, standard rooms are a little bit no frills but clean and comfortable. Buffet / restaurant staff weren’t the friendliest in my opinion, food was ok.
