Amazing stay this weekend at Ashdown. We were able to play tennis, use the driving range, lunch and walk around the grounds all before checking in. Room was beautiful and clean with a great view! Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast also great and generous portions. Service fantastic!

The grounds are beautiful, the property has loads of character. Food fabulous and service spot on. The only downside no sauna / steam room

Truly amazing staff & hotel

Nice location, grounds need some attention. Room very dated and we had to ask to be moved due to plumbing issues. Meals average at best and very expensive.

Comfortable beds and spacious room. Terribly slow service at the bar and especially at the restaurant during supper time. We waited almost 1.5 hour for our main course to be served. Simply not good enough.

We stayed here for a wedding..the grounds and property are absolutely picturesque but the rooms are from the 80s pink carpets and green sofas was like being in a care home for the night. Also had no hot water and we wasn't the only ones who complained about this.

Excellent attention to detail

It is difficult to rate our stay at Ashdown Park because we never got a chance to stay there. We were in a car accident en route to the hotel that day. We contacted the hotel through Expedia to notify them as soon as possible (approximately 4:30PM) about our travel situation. They delayed the decision on our room charges for a day or two and then informed Expedia and us, that they would be charging us the full amount for both rooms. I realize this is within the rights of their cancellation policy, but it was another downward turn in what had already been a difficult situation. Needless to say, when we're back in the UK, we won't be staying at Ashdown.

A really enjoyable stay with accommodating staff who were friendly and welcoming. Worth a visit.

Stayed to celebrate a number of family milestones - absolutely beautiful surroundings! Very family friendly , large rooms the indoor pool as a big hit. Service was slow in the restaurant due to a function and although this was frustrating the staff did their best to reconcile. We will be back 😊

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous views from our room and thoroughly enjoyed eating in the restaurant whilst someone played the piano. The pool was especially tranquil, had it to ourselves the two times we used it. If everywhere had such nice changing facilities I'd swim everyday. Will definitely return.

This is a beautiful hotel, the building is magnificent with wonderful views. The staff are really good. Dan was particularly helpful with settling us in and advising us. The main restaurant is lovely and breakfast there was excellent.
