Reception staff were friendly and efficient.

Check in easy. New tasteful hotel. Location great. Bar and restaurant were both excellent

Hotel du Vin overbooked the hotel which meant I didn’t have a room as promised, and paid for in advance. Really unhelpful and rude staff at reception. Resulted in me having to organising another hotel late at night.

Overbooked the hotel and downgraded room booked. Reception unhelpful and rude

Quite a noisy room that was right on the main road with constant traffic. Shower not well designed so even with the shower curtains shut, it was impossible from keeping the water from going down the wall next to the tub.

The staff were helpful, Aircon was broken and there were no people availabke to fix during our stay, there was musshed food in the stair carpet which was there when we arrived and was still there when we left ! we could see a lift or would have avoided the stairs as it had tools and poles and trolleys with broken glass and dirty dishes on . so Everytime we went back to our room it wasnt pleasant to walk passed . its a shame as the hotel was nicely decorated and clean apart from this BIG Dirty stair well which we had no choice but to use to get to our room ! Our room was ment to be a twin bed as me and my 17 year old were booked to share but there was no available so we had to share. it was unbelievabley hot and very little sleep was got . The man on reception did apologise for the aircon and gave a discount . I didnt have the heart to tell him about the mess as well . x

We had a lovely stay in Exeter at the Hotel du Vin and two excellent dinners and breakfasts. Convenient location!

Had a lovely two night stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location was ideal for exploring and the facilities were good. Had a lovely meal jn the restaurant one night and enjoyed the outdoor pool despite some rainy weather.

Immaculate rooms and great breakfast

Excellent hotel tastefully renovated in a style reminiscent of Art Deco. Quiet room, very comfortable bed, and very friendly staff - was offered to take a little doggy bag from breakfast, which was a nice touch! (Helena from kitchen was really polite and helpful.) Really pleased, would stay there again!

Room was a bit small given price

Good location. Was offered a free drink instead of housekeeping but then despite giving my voucher to the bar and saying I wanted to claim the drink, I was charged £7.50. The room was ok but the bathroom smelt like a urinal and was really unpleasant. Not the standard I’d expect for this chain.

I’ve never been in a hotel where all of the staff are consistently polite, friendly, helpful, happy and amazingly genuine ! There’s clearly an incredible ethos here of top class customer service. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are amazing and the food was stunning.

I would recommend a stay at this hotel Stylish, lovely social areas to sit within the hotel. Beautiful garden Staff very obliging. All in all a lovely experience

Had a fantastic weekend staying at this hotel while visiting friends. The room was spacious, clean, and offered absolutely fabulous views — a perfect spot to relax. Great experience overall, would definitely come back!
