Amazing hotel, but needs a lot of maintenance.

We had a nice few days with my husband and mother. However, the adult pool needs cleaning and the food (snacks - ceviche) we ordered in the pool was not what we expected. Perhaps, it is the way they do that in Ixtapan. They exchanged it for another dish but it was not to our taste (meat of Pepito was not of good quality). Other than that, the staff were great. We had an extra bed brought in at no cost. Food in restaurant was great too. Perhaps check if there are still doing renovations when you go as the noise of the drill was a bothersome in the early afternoon when we ate there. It got solved when we moved to eat in the terrace, beautiful sights to the mountains and chant of birds.

Staff excellent, always trying to please you. Property needs a lot of investing (more than 10 years ago I stayed and everything was great at the property). Not many guests this time, I imagine they have a lot to do in marketing to promote the hotel, at the same time they should renovate it (we had to change room due to a lack of AC and 2nd room had a water leak.

They emailed me, told them we were staying for our anniversary but they didnt prepare anything. Common areas need repair. Bar was closed at 10pm on independence day of all days! Definitely not worth the price.

Good spot for a family vacation

Large hotel with friendly staff. The facility itself could use renovations. Overall a family vacation spot. I would recommend a more intimate hotel for a couple or anyone looking for a more tranquil experience.

The hotel is in pretty bad shape. We only spent one night there, and had to switch rooms once, in the middle of the night because the bathroom faucet was not working properly and leaked to the point of flooding the room. We were moved to a room that had an old, broken mattress and a non-working toilet. When we complained early the following morning, we negotiated free breakfast and a late checkout (which was the least they could do, given that we did not get a working bathroom or a proper bed). They agreed, but later called to say that we should only take one of the two things. This was a family trip, and we were planning to have a good time. Instead, we kept getting angry at the hotel all the time!

Wonderful Gardens

Ixtapan de la Sal is known for its thermal waters, but the hotel has none. I think this was not clearly advertised. The hotel does not shine for its architecture and it’s not close to town. I think it’s okay for events or families coming for a weekend.

En general bien, pero hay áreas que están desgastadas y sin mantenimiento como la alberca de niños, el piso está destruido prácticamente y puede ocasionar accidentes en los usuarios, principalmente en niños, las albercas no estaban limpias, la mesa de hockey está en muy mal estado, el staff muy bien, pero en al menos un par de ocasiones muy lenta la atención en el restaurante, además de que ahora cada amenidad (go karts, ping pong cancha de tenis, etc. ) tiene un costo adicional y la verdad es que ni siquiera están las instalaciones en buen estado

Muchas zonas requieren mantenimiento o quizás hasta renovación: alberca infantil, juegos y hasta el piso de varios edificios. Falta personal para un hotel tan grande, pero el que está es atento y procura resolver todo con lo que tiene a la mano.

Excellent place to relax. I love spending time here with family.
